Days 1-2 Johannesburg / Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town through Johannesburg, transferring to the Cape Grace Hotel, where you meet one of your expedition guides for an initial briefing, covering both A-1 race car driving and shark diving. Cape Grace Hotel Day 3 Cape Town / Killarney Race Track
Train with a racing professional, then take the wheel of a A1 race car to test your skill (and competitive edge) on the Grand Prix designated course at speeds up to 120 miles per hour. Cape Grace Hotel B L
Day 4 Cape Town / Thunder City Hangar
For those who will take part in the jet fighter ride, head to Thunder City Hangar to suit up, attend a briefing and board your chosen fighter jet. You and the pilot plan the ride of a lifetime: supersonic climbs to 50,000 feet, pulling Gs and mountain rolls, viewing the earth's expanse, and/or low passes over the coast. Cape Grace Hotel B
Day 5 Cape Town / Gansbaai / Shark Alley
Travel to Gansbaai, where you set sail for a close encounter with sharks. Upon arrival you are briefed on safety and fitted with a wetsuit and life vest. Your destination is a region abundant with the great white shark, the ocean's most formidable and notorious predator. Dive into a shark-proof cage to watch these powerful creatures swimming within inches of you. Later, sail through Shark Alley to view the seals that are the sharks' primary food source, and then to Dyer Island to observe African penguin and other sea birds. Cape Grace Hotel B L
Days 6-7 Cape Town / Johannesburg / Maun, Botswana / Makgadikgadi Pans
Fly to Maun via Johannesburg, arriving at Jack's Camp in Makgadikgadi National Park. Explore the grasslands of the Makgadikgadi Pans, visiting Kalahari's meerkats, a remote cattle post, and one of Africa's rarest carnivores — the brown hyena Jack's Camp B L D
Days 8-9 Makgadikgadi Pans / Kubu Island
Set off on quad bikes across Ntwetwe Pan for Kubu Island, a granite extrusion island studded with baobabs that is considered one of the most beautiful and spiritual spots in Botswana. Explore the island and its surroundings including one of the biggest flamingo breeding sites in the world. During the wet season, more than 30,000 flamingo congregate in the Pans. Day 10 Makgadikgadi Pans
Return to Jack's Camp on quad bikes, exploring the region on your way. Ostrich, swallows, and elephant are often seen in this stark landscape.Jack's Camp B L D
Days 11-12 Makgadikgadi Pans / Johannesburg, South Africa
Early this morning, you are led on a walking safari by Zu/'hoasi Bushmen trackers. Later, depart by light aircraft to Maun, and then proceed to Johannesburg for your overnight flight home.B B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner
