We invite you to journey to the Rooftop of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak on the continent. Embark on this once-in-a-lifetime private expedition along the breathtaking, less-traveled Machame Route with our world-class guides and porters.

While not a technical climb, it is one of the most physically demanding experiences to undertake. A high level of physical fitness is required at the summit, the atmosphere contains only half the oxygen available at sea level! Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the most rewarding accomplishments you could dream of. We recommend a safari prior to the climb, as the altitude in East Africa will help with acclimatization.

Day 1

Arrive Arusha, The Arusha Hotel.

Day 2

Drive to Machame gate and commence hike, Machame Camp (10,000 ft).

Day 3

Full day hike, Shira Camp (12,500 ft).

Day 4

Walk high, sleep low ascend into alpine desert and descend to camp, Barranco Camp (13,000 ft).

Day 5

Ascend Barranco wall, hike glacial valleys, Karanga Camp (13,000 ft).

Day 6

Half-day hike, early dinner, rest and depart for summit after midnight, Barafu Camp (15,000 ft).

Day 7

Reach Uhuru peak at sunrise, descend, Mweka Camp (12,000 ft).

Day 8

Final descent, to Arusha, The Arusha Hotel.

Day 9

Depart Arusha.
