The Kasbah Tamadot, Sir Richard Branson's amazing new Moroccan retreat, is a magical walled construction set on the side of the rolling hills of the High Atlas Mountains. From here you will enjoy stunning views; to the north extends a steep river valley, with sheer rocky limestone and forested mountains on either side, in contrast to the view of the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains on the southern side. To the east, across the river, you can see a traditional Berber village built into the side of the mountain, and so in keeping with the landscape. Within the protective walls of the Kasbah is a beautiful garden, containing specimen fruit trees, a collection of cacti and a rambling rose garden.
At the Kasbah Tamadot we have 6 Superior Rooms, 5 Junior Suites and 6 Deluxe Suites (one with private pool), with the main difference between these room types being their size and location. The Main Building will house 15 rooms and suites and The Studio, located a few minutes walk away at the end of the garden has two rooms and one suite and can be taken as a 2 or 3 bedroom cottage. Each room is individual, designed according to its aspect and special antique features. All rooms include a collection of easy chairs, Moroccan poufs, sofas and a small Moroccan tiled cabinet containing a fridge, with a traditional Moroccan tea tray so that guests can make local mint tea whenever they choose.  The Kasbah Tamadot is an extensive complex comprised of staircases, courtyards, rooms and gardens. On the ground level are two internal courtyards, an indoor pool, the Virgin Touch Salon, the Hammam and access to the outdoor pool and The Studio. A main stair leads up to a traditional Moroccan painted courtyard that surrounds a deep blue reflecting pool on the first floor. Opening from here are a series of bedrooms, a Guest Salon & Library and our restaurant named Kanoun. From our outdoor pool you can meander along pretty garden paths to our tennis courts. The roof top, complete with breathtaking views, houses 3 Deluxe Suites and a rooftop seating area where drinks can be served.
The Main Restaurant - With an intimate fireside bar for pre-dinner cocktails, a stunning dining area complete with terrace dining and breathtaking views, we expect it to be THE restaurant to visit in Morocco. We have appointed Jean Mundell as Executive Chef. Jean, South African-born, trained in Raymond Blanc's kitchen at Le Manoir aux Quat Saison before working for us at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, then Necker Island. The restaurant will include both local specialties and international cuisine and the cellar will be well stocked with fabulous wines and champagnes.
