Tour Itinerary
Day 1. (Sat). Arrive Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met and assisted through customs & immigration and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2. Cairo. Today you visit the fabulous Egyptian Museum; the Solar Boat; Cheop's Pyramid; the Sphinx and Bazaars. BL
Day 3. Nile Cruise - Cairo/Luxor. Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. On arrival you will be escorted to your floating hotel for the next 8 days as you cruise up-and-down the Nile. This morning you cross the Nile to Luxor's West Bank “Thebes”. Sightseeing includes the Valley of the Kings and Queens and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, you will visit Luxor and Karnak Temples. Day 4. Nile Cruise - Luxor/Edfu. Early morning, you sail to Edfu via Esna lock. BLD
Day 5. Nile Cruise - Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan. Visit the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God. Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek. Continue sailing to Aswan. BLD
Day 6. Nile Cruise – Aswan. Sightseeing includes Aswan's High Dam, Granite Quarries, Temple of Philae. Sail around Elephantine Island and Botanical Gardens. BLD
Day 7. Nile Cruise – Free day in Aswan. Free day in Aswan to relax around the swimming pool or shop for the best spices in the vibrant souks of this exciting city. You may also consider the highly recommended optional excursion to Abu Simbel to visit the breathtaking Temples of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. BLD
Day 8. Nile Cruise - Aswan/Kom Ombo/Edfu. A day to relax and relent to your senses – Egypt comes alive as you leisurely cruise up and down the Nile, magnificent Highway of the Pharaohs. Overnight in Edfu. BLD
Day 9. Nile Cruise - Edfu/Esna/Luxor. We arrive Luxor in the afternoon. Remainder of the day at leisure to explore this city on your own. We suggest a visit to Luxor Museum. BLD
Day 10. Disembark Nile Cruise – Fly Luxor to Cairo. Transfer to the Airport for our flight back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo at your selected hotel. B
Day 11. Cairo – Memphis & Sakkara Sightseeing. This morning an excursion to Memphis, first capital of ancient Egypt. Though most of the city has been destroyed by time, the Alabaster Sphinx and statue of Ramses II remain. Proceed to the Necropolis of Sakkara, City of the Dead, to see the step pyramid of King Zoser and the Wall of Cobras. B
Day 12. Old Cairo Sightseeing. After breakfast we drive through Old Cairo to the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, then the Al Moalaka Church, better known as the "Hanging Church" and the Abu Sergah Church dating back to the beginning of the 5th Century. Continue on to Islamic Cairo where you visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, overlooking Cairo from the Mokattam Hills. Built in 1183 AD, it houses many important monuments including the Mohamed Ali Mosque. constructed in 1830 AD on the northern elevated portion of the Citadel. BL
Day 13. Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo. Travel to Alexandria, to visit the Graeco-Roman Museum or National Museum; Pompey's Pillar and the Roman Amphitheater; the Catacombs and Alexandria Library before returning to Cairo. BL
Day 14. Cairo at Leisure. Today you will have a day at leisure. Why not consider a day trip to Al Fayyum. B

The Esna Lock is closed for maintenance during the month of June. Sailing will be between Esna and Aswan.
