DAYS 1-2: USA or Canada/Cairo, Egypt
Board an overnight flight to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in the shadow of the Great Pyramids.

DAY 3: Cairo
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, featuring the world-famous golden treasures of Tutankhamun and the Mummy Room. our hosts a welcome dinner at your hotel this evening. Mena House Oberoi B D
DAY 4: Cairo
Travel to Memphis, the legendary city of Menes, the king who united Upper and Lower Egypt. Continue to the necropolis of Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. After lunch, travel to the Giza Plateau, site of the Pyramids of Mycerinus, Chefren and the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. DAY 5: Cairo/Luxor
Fly to Luxor and visit the Temple of Karnak, the largest temple in Egypt. After lunch on board 'Sun Boat IV,' cross the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs (including that of King Tut) were carved into the desert rocks. Explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (ancient Egypt's first female pharaoh) and the Valley of the Queens. On the way back to the Nile River, pass the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.

DAY 6: Luxor/Denderah/Luxor
Cruise northward to Qena on a scenic route far from the crowds and other cruise ships. Visit the beautiful Ptolemaic Temple of the Goddess Hathor at Denderah. Lunch is on board 'Sun Boat IV' as you cruise back to Luxor. On arrival, embark on a tour of the Luxor Temple, begun by Amenhotep III and completed by Egypt's most renowned pharaoh, Ramses II. DAY 7: Luxor/Esna/Edfu/Kom Ombo
Cruise to Edfu to explore the second largest Greco-Roman temple in Egypt, the extraordinary Temple of Horus, the falcon-headed god. MS 'Sun Boat IV' B L D
DAY 8: Kom Ombo/Aswan
Disembark at Kom Ombo ("hill of gold") to visit the lovely Greco-Roman temple, uniquely dedicated to Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). After lunch on the ship, take a tour of the Aswan High Dam, then board a motorboat for a short ride to the majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to the famous granite quarries, site of the famed Unfinished Obelisk. End the day with a cruise around the Aswan islands in a felucca (weather permitting).

DAY 9: Aswan/Abu Simbel/Cairo
Leave 'Sun Boat IV' and fly to Abu Simbel to view the four 65-foot figures fronting the temple of Ramses II. Return to Cairo, where you will enjoy fabulous views of the Nile from your hotel room. Conrad Cairo B L
DAY 10: Cairo
Begin the day with a visit to the Alabaster Mosque and the tomb of the Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali. Later, a walking tour of Islamic Cairo takes you to Khan El Khalili Bazaar for a traditional lunch. Gather for a farewell dinner this evening. Conrad Cairo B L D
