Day 4: Amboseli National Park Spend a full day on safari. As the first rays of sunlight reflect off the white snow of Mount Kilimanjaro, the animals begin to stir, making this the most exciting time for game viewing. You may come upon male giraffe fighting over a potential mate, a group of warthog running with tails raised or lionesses chasing down a morning meal. Enjoy a specially arranged visit to the renowned Amboseli Elephant Research Project, started by Dr. Cynthia Moss over 30 years ago to study elephants and their conservation. An afternoon game drive is an excellent time to look for lion and cheetah, who begin to stir from the shade and roam onto the plains in search of prey. Tortilis Camp B L D
Day 5: Amboseli/Nairobi/Samburu Game Reserve Fly to the Samburu Game Reserve, arriving in time for a leisurely lunch at your camp. This reserve contains the largest concentration of big game in Kenya and the delicate ecosystem is the focus of world attention in a major effort to conserve and preserve one of the last true strongholds of African game. The mobile tented camp is the traditional, time-honored way to enjoy the African wilderness, evoking the romance of a bygone era. Your campsites are set in the most spectacular areas for game viewing, where your group and the wildlife are the only guests around. After a late-afternoon game drive, return to camp for dinner. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by your chef, then warm yourself by a roaring campfire with your favorite after-dinner drink. Mobile Tented Camp B L D

Here lies the destination of the annual wildebeest migration, when more than one million wildebeest, accompanied by zebra and gazelle, march north to graze the Mara's lush grasses. Embark on game drives in search of lion, elephant, giraffe and impala. Your knowledgeable guides and drivers are experts in finding and identifying the wildlife you came to see, and make sure you have the best possible view of the Mara's flora and fauna. customized Land Cruisers are equipped with oversized windows that wrap the entire vehicle, giving everyone a "front row" view.
