Day 3: Nairobi
Visit Daphne Sheldrick's Wildlife Orphanage and watch a demonstration at the famous Kazuri Beads workshop. Stop at the Giraffe Center before returning to the Norfolk Hotel for lunch. This evening, join your Kenyan-born host Bryan Harris, a journalist and member of the Kenya Railway Museum Board, for a welcome dinner at a private club. He shares colorful stories about the late 19th-century construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway (the "Lunatic Express"), whose builders were bedeviled by the famous man-eating lions of Tsavo. Day 4: Nairobi/Amboseli National Park
Fly to Amboseli, located in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak. This afternoon's game viewing focuses on Amboseli's large population of elephant, giraffe and predators. Tortilis Camp B L D

Day 5: Amboseli National Park
Start the day off with an early-morning game drive and catch the wildlife as they awaken. Mount Kilimanjaro provides a beautiful backdrop for photos. Go on another game drive this afternoon, an excellent time to look for lion and cheetah, who begin to stir from the shade and roam onto the plains in search of prey, and zebra and wildebeest, who wander along the salt pan trails of Amboseli. Day 6: Amboseli/Nairobi/ Samburu Game Reserve
Fly to the semi-arid bush country of the Northern Frontier District where, on an afternoon game drive in Samburu, you look for unique northern species such as reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and the graceful gerenuk. Larsen's Camp B L D

Day 7: Samburu Game Reserve
Watch for crocodile on the muddy riverbanks, frolicking velvet monkey and perhaps the elusive leopard. Then meet Samburu villagers who introduce you to their culture and way of life. Larsen's Camp B L D

Day 8: Samburu/Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly to the magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve. After a late-afternoon game drive, return to camp for dinner. Governor's Camp B L D

Days 9-10: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Embark on game drives in search of lion, elephant, giraffe and impala. Gather on the banks of the Mara for a special farewell dinner. Governor's Camp B L D

Day 11: Masai Mara/Nairobi/ USA or Canada
Return to Nairobi in time for lunch at Bahati, the Kent family home, followed by an optional visit to the Karen Blixen Museum or shopping in Nairobi. This evening board an international flight.
