Days 4-5: Samburu Game Reserve
Spend two days exploring the semi-arid Samburu. On morning and afternoon game drives, search for the famous "special five" (reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the graceful, longnecked gerenuk), found only north of the equator. With luck, you may spot the elusive leopard stalking the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. Larsen's Camp B L D

On game drives in the heart of this classic grassland savannah, view migrating herbivores and their predators: lion, cheetah and leopard. Also visit a Maasai village and, perhaps, take an optional hot air balloon excursion or flight to Lake Victoria. On your final evening here, dine on the banks of the Mara River. Olonana B L D
