Malawi is dominated by the tranquil waters of Lake Malawi, the country’s greatest attraction. This nature-lover’s paradise offers visitors incredible scenery, exceptionally beautiful national parks and prolific bird life. The diving and snorkeling on Lake Malawi are excellent, as is the sea kayaking, allowing for close exploration of the granitic islands on the lake.

Liwonde National Park is home to crocodiles, countless pods of hippo, Sable Antelope, herds of elephant and an astonishing number of bird species. The last stop is tiny Likoma Island, where you can relax on the beach, enjoy water activities or venture into the local village for an authentic cultural experience.

Arrive Lilongwe, scenic drive to Cape Maclear and kayak or boat to Mumbo Island, Mumbo Island.

Days 2-3

Mumbo Island, kayaking and other activities on Lake Malawi, Mumbo Island.

Day 4

Scenic drive to Liwonde National Park and Mvuu Lodge, Mvuu Lodge.

Game-viewing and cultural activities, Mvuu Lodge.
