Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Depart USA Depart on your international flight to begin your journey to Morocco’s Imperial Cities, brimming with local culture, folklore, and the architectural achievements of powerful former dynasties.
Day 2: Arrive Casablanca Fly into Casablanca, a gleaming white city on the north coast. Morocco’s international personality mixes with European influences. You are escorted to your hotel, one of the country’s most luxurious, before you tour the city. See how easily old and new coexist here as people in traditional dress walk through the old and new medinas alongside donkeys, while others don stylish Western dress for yachting excursions from the city’s modern ports. Day 3: Rabat / Meknes / Fes Depart for the Imperial Cities of Rabat, Meknes and Fes, which showcase for some of the finest Islamic architecture in North Africa. Take in the Moorish palaces and mosques, lavish gardens, vibrant squares and colorful bazaars. Day 4: Fes Immerse yourself in the dreamy mystique of old Morocco on a full-day tour of Fes. Step back in time in the medina, a maze of tiny lanes and covered bazaars enclosed by magnificent ramparts. Survey monuments of nearly perfect construction – the Gates of Bab Boujeloud, Sultan’s Palace, Attarine Medersa and the illustrious Qaraouiyne Mosque. Meet the famous tanners and browse for extravagances of every imaginable sort. Fes boasts the oldest university of the country. It is the leading cultural and religious center of Morocco. Day 5: Fes / Atlas Mountains / Marrakech Take in the contrasting views of Morocco as you spend the day crossing the Atlas Mountains to the rose-red caravan city of Marrakech. Day 6: Marrakech Today’s exciting program reveals the highlights and back streets of Marrakech. Browse the old walled city, long a crossroads of cultures, and small little souks where medieval craft guilds still operate according to the old traditions. Step into Djemaa El Fna Square in late afternoon when it is jammed with a street theater of acrobats, fire eaters, snake charmers, sword swallowers, and assorted other performers.
