Day 3
Once the capital of Morocco, Fez remains the undisputed religious, artistic and intellectual center of the country. Explore some of the 9,000 narrow lanes and alleys that make up the labyrinth of the city's old quarter.

Day 4
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing beginning with Meknes, more modern and less crowded than Fez. The Imperial Palace was built by Moulay Ismail who wanted his new capital, Meknes, to be as grandiose as Versailles. Continue to Volubilis, site of an exceptionally well-preserved Roman town. The Roman ruins here include an impressive triumphal arch and beautiful mosaics.

Day 5
Travel today to the desert, crossing the picturesque Atlas Mountains and the oasis cities of Erfoud and Rissani before arriving at the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest in the country. Leave your vehicle and ride a camel to your exclusive and private desert camp, where you spend the night.

Day 6
Travel by road to Skoura through lush scenery, stopping at date palmeries along the way. Arrive at the luxurious 19th-century kasbah, which will be your home for the next two nights.

Day 7
Today, embark on a full day excursion to the superb Draa Valley with its wonderful kasbahs and villages in nearby Ouarzazate.

Day 8
Continue your drive to Marrakech, with an en route stop at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village.

Day 9
Set out to discover the treasures of Marrakech, starting with the many architectural attractions inside the medina, the old walled section of the town. View the Koutoubia minaret, a flawless structure subsequently copied throughout the Muslim world. Visit Dar Si Said, home to the Museum of Moroccan Arts and Crafts; the Saadian Tombs; and the Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of domestic architecture that illustrates the luxury and privacy enjoyed by the privileged in the 19th century.

Day 10
Enjoy spectacular scenery on a full-day excursion with your guide to the High Atlas Mountains and through the Ourika Valley.
