Tour Itinerary  Day 1 - Depart Windhoek Journey from Windhoek across the magnificent mountain range towards the far south of Namibia. Enjoy the Hardap Dam, the Kalahari Desert, the extinct Brukkaros Volcano and the vast intriguing plains. Proceed to the magnificent boulder-studded plains and hills to the east of the great Fish River Canyon. Canon Lodge. D Day 2 - Fish River Canyon.. Morning visit to Fish River Canyon. Take a scenic flight over the steep and winding gorges of the canyon, over the fascinating landscapes of the pro-Namib to Sesriem, gateway to the southern Namib Desert and its magnificent dune belts. Sossusvlei Lodge. BD Day 3 - Sossusvlei Proceed to Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Observe the fauna and flora that inhabits this region. Take some time to explore the impressive sandstone conglomerate gorges of the Sesriem Canyon, formed by the Tsauchab River. An optional hot-air balloon ride over the sands of the Namib is offered during the early morning hours. Fly over the Atlantic Ocean, across the dune desert to Swakopmund Airport, a short transfer to your hotel. Hansa Hotel. B Day 4 - Walvis Bay Transfer to Walvis Bay, and embark on a Marine Cruise. See a glimpse Namibia's only deep-sea harbour, encounter aquatic birds and Cape fur seals, and sight the bottlenose and heavy-side dolphins that are endemic to the coast of southwestern Africa. Namibian oysters - counted the best in the world, canap chilled sparkling wine from South Africa, and soft drinks are served on board. On a charter flight, fly north along the Skeleton Coast, and over the seal colony at Cape Cross, shipwrecks, the Messum Crater and the riverbeds of Namibia's ephemeral watercourses. Twyfelfontein Lodge. BD Day 5 - Twyfelfontein The slopes of Twyfelfontein are strewn with boulders; all dotted with thousands of paintings and ancient engravings, a virtual open-air museum. Geological features in the area include the Organ Pipes, angular columns of dolerite which are all part of Namibia?s rich natural history. Continue on, and cut across the northern interior of the country to a private lodge bordering the Etosha National Park. Guests may relax at the lodge or enjoy optional stress-relieving therapies at the Spa. Optional activities such as horse riding or guided walks are offered. Epacha Eagle Tented Lodge (2 nights). BD  Day 6 - Etosha National Park Full day game drive in Etosha National Park. The game and birds found here are typical of the savannah plains of Southern Africa, but include several species endemic to the western side of the continent, adjacent to the Namib Desert. Among the rarer species, black rhino, white rhino (recently reintroduced) are frequently seen. Black-faced Impala are restricted to Namibia and southern Angola and the Damara dik-dik; the Parks smallest antelope is endemic. Hundreds of bird species have been recorded which migrants complement during the summer period. BLD Day 7 - Return to Windhoek After a leisurely breakfast, board an aircraft for a final flight back to Windhoek.
