Tour Itinerary
Day 1. (Sun) Arrive Johannesburg. Upon arrival at O.R Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) you will be met by Our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Intercontinental Sandton Sun (2 nights)
Day 2. Johannesburg. Morning at leisure. This afternoon enjoy a tour in Soweto, a fascinating glimpse of bustling neighbourhood life, where two Nobel Prize-winner's once lived, and the Hector Peterson Memorial. BD
Day 3. Panorama Route. After breakfast travel to Mpumalanga via the historic towns of Witbank, Dullstroom and Lydenburg towards Nelspruit and your elegant on the outskirts of White River. Jatinga Country Lodge (2 nights) B
Day 4. Panorama Route & The Lowveld. Departing via Pilgrims Rest to breathtaking God's Window, a boundless view of forested mountains and fertile plains. Visit the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa, Bourke's Luck Potholes and Lisbon Waterfalls. BL
Day 5. Karongwe Private Game Reserve. Depart from White River and travel to the exclusive Karongwe Private Game Lodge arriving in time for lunch. Later this afternoon enjoy high tea and depart on your afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle with an experienced ranger and tracker.
Dinner this evening will be enjoyed in a famous African Boma (weather permitting) Kuname River Lodge or similar (2 nights) BLD
Day 6. Karongwe Private Game Reserve. An early morning bush walk or game drive followed by breakfast. Enjoy the amenities and activities offered by this splendid lodge such as a rejuvenating spa treatment (extra cost). In the afternoon, another game drive and an African 'sundowner'. This evening a special Safari style bush dinner under the stars (weather permitting). BLD
Day 7. Swaziland. Early morning bush walk or game drive. After breakfast depart for the Kingdom of Swaziland via Mbabane, the capital city. Visit the Ngwenya glass factory, with a late afternoon arrival at the luxury hotel, situated in the majestic Ezulwini valley. Royal Swazi Sun B
Day 8. St. Lucia & Durban. Travel to St Lucia, a World Heritage Site. Enjoy a river cruise on the estuary known as 'birder's paradise'. Here pelicans, fish eagles, hippos and crocodiles may be seen. Drive through sugar cane plantations along the Indian Ocean seaboard towards the bustling city of Durban then onwards to your resort hotel near Ballito on Durban's North Coast. Day 9. Durban Port Elizabeth. Morning at leisure followed by a private transfer to Durban International Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth (flight not included). On arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel, the remainder of your day is at leisure. Woodall Country Estate or similar B
Day 10. Garden Route. Enter the Garden Route via the Tsitsikamma Mountains and enjoy the spectacular scenery. After lunch, continue to Nature's Valley for a short stroll on the beach. Arrive at the 'millionaires' playground' of Plettenberg Bay in time for a superb dinner. Lairds Lodge or similar (2 nights) BD
Day 11. Plettenberg Bay & Knysna. Enjoy a fascinating ocean safari where you may see various whales, dolphins, penguins and seals (weather and sea conditions permitting). BD
Day 12. Knysna to Oudtshoorn. A scenic drive through Knysna, Wilderness, Dolphin Point and George en-route to Outeniqua Pass and onto Oudtshoorn where you visit the Cango Caves for a fully guided tour. La Plume Guest House or similar BD
Day 13. Oudtshoorn to Cape Town. Leaving the Klein Karoo, visit the towns of Calitzdorp and Barrydale. Travel the famous 'Route 62', through Robertson and Worcester. The day ends with the first glimpse of Table Mountain as you arrive in Cape Town. Arabella Sheraton or similar (2 nights) B
Day 14. Cape Highlights Tour. A full day's touring of the Cape Highlights travelling via Camps Bay, Hout Bay and the Cape of Good Hope Reserve. Enjoying stunning views from the highest point and the lighthouse and continue towards Simon's Town and Muizenberg. Wines tasting at a local wine estate before visiting the University town of Stellenbosch. B
Day 15. Cape Winelands Tour. A full day's touring of the Cape Winelands where you will visit the "Taal Monument" and enjoy a city tour of Paarl before heading for Franschhoek. This little village nestled amongst the mountains, can easily be mistaken as being in Switzerland. After a short tour of the little town, enjoy a wine & cheese tasting with the option of lunch on the estate (not included). After lunch the tour continues to the famous Boschendal estate. B
Day 16. Depart Cape Town. Morning at leisure to relax or enjoy last minute shopping at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. A private transfer to Cape Town International Airport in time for your homebound flight. B
