Johannesburg to Cape Town (or v.v.)*
Below is a special itinerary that we have created for you to explore, experience and enjoy South Africa in style. You travel by luxury microbus, staying in superior and boutique hotels and lodges, with a maximum of six participants. Your guide will look after everything. Departures are on Sundays (Northbound - Cape Town to Johannesburg) & Mondays (Southbound - Johannesburg to Cape Town) but we can arrange a similar personalized itinerary on other days (at a different price).
Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Johannesburg. Upon arrival at O.R Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), you will be met by local representative and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a half day tour in fascinating Soweto. After your tour you will be transferred back to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Panorama Route. After breakfast travel to Mpumalanga via the historic towns of Witbank, Dullstroom and Lydenburg towards Nelspruit and your elegant lodge on the outskirts of White River. B
Jatinga Country Lodge or similar (2 nights)
Day 3. Panorama Route & The Lowveld. Travel via Pilgrims Rest to breathtaking God's Window. Visit the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes and Lisbon Waterfalls. BL
Day 4. Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve – Lion Sands. After breakfast travel to the world famous Sabi Sand Private Game reserve and check into your exclusive private game lodge in time for lunch. Later this afternoon after high tea depart on your afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle with an experienced ranger and tracker. Return back to the lodge this evening where you will have time to freshen up before dinner. BLD
Lion Sands - River Lodge (2 nights)
Day 5. Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve – Lion Sands. Your day begins at dawn with an exciting game drive or bush walk. Return to the camp for a hearty brunch. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy a siesta, relax around the pool or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment (own account). Lunch and refreshments are followed by a late afternoon game drive returning after sunset. BLD
Day 6. Swaziland. Early morning bush walk or game drive. After breakfast depart for the Kingdom of Swaziland via Mbabane, the capital city. Visit the Ngwenya glass factory, with a late afternoon arrival at the luxury hotel, situated in the majestic Ezulwini valley. B

Day 7. St. Lucia & Durban. Travel to St. Lucia, a World Heritage Site. Enjoy a river cruise. Here pelicans, fish eagles, hippos and crocodiles may be seen. Drive through sugar cane plantations along the Indian Ocean seaboard towards Durban where the day concludes at a luxurious resort hotel on Durban's pristine North Coast. B

Day 8. Durban to Port Elizabeth. Morning at leisure followed by a private transfer to Durban Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth (flight cost not included). On arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel. B
Woodall Country Estate or similar
Day 9. Garden Route. Enter the Garden Route via the Tsitsikamma Mountains and enjoy the spectacular scenery. After lunch, continue to Nature's Valley for a short stroll on the beach. Arrive at the 'millionaires' playground' of Plettenberg Bay in time for a superb dinner. B
Bay Lodge (2 nights)
Day 10. Plettenberg Bay & Knysna. Enjoy a fascinating ocean safari where you may see various whales, dolphins, penguins and seals (sea conditions permitting). Enjoy an afternoon excursion to the 'oyster capital' (Knysna) where you can stroll along the waterfront and observe the famous heads. B
Day 11. Knysna to Oudtshoorn. A scenic drive through Knysna, Wilderness, Dolphin Point and George en-route to Outeniqua Pass and onto Oudtshoorn where you visit the Cango Caves for a fully guided tour. After returning to the hotel, enjoy dinner served in the elegant dining room famous for its ostrich fare and fine wines. BD
Adley House
Day 12. Oudtshoorn to Cape Town. Leaving the Klein Karoo, visit the towns of Calitzdorp and Barrydale. Traverse the famous 'Route 62', passing through Robertson and Worcester via Montagu. The day ends with the first glimpse of Table Mountain as you arrive in Cape Town. B
The Table Bay Hotel (2 nights)
Day 13. Cape Highlights Tour. A full day's touring of the Cape Highlights travelling via Camps Bay, Hout Bay, and the Cape of Good Hope Reserve. Enjoy stunning views from the highest point then continue towards Simon's Town and Muizenberg. Wine tasting at a local wine estate before visiting the University town of Stellenbosch. B
Day 14. Depart Cape Town. Use the morning at leisure to enjoy last minute shopping at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. You will be transferred by private vehicle to Cape Town International Airport in time for your homebound flight.
