Day 1. Arrive Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. Depart from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and proceed to the Jane Goodall Institute for a unique opportunity to see chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings. Afterwards we continue to your hotel located on the banks of the Crocodile River.

Day 2. Kruger National Park. Early this morning head into the Kruger National Park for a full day’s game viewing in the closed overland vehicle where you will search for creatures big and small in the magnificent reserve, which is home to the ‘Big Five’. B

Day 3. Mozambique. Depart for Mozambique, for an interesting orientation tour covering the sights of Maputo. After lunch (own account), a ferry ride across Maputo Harbour brings us to the start of our 4x4 adventure to your lodge located along a beautiful, isolated and relatively untouched area of Africa. BD

Ponta Mamoli Lodge or similar (2 nights)

Day 4. Mozambique. A full day at this remarkable beach resort, or take advantage of the many optional extra activities on offer. Keep your eyes peeled for wild dolphins, whales and whale sharks which are known to visit the area. BD

Day 5. Hluhluwe to St Lucia. Later this morning we depart for South Africa. This short drive will take us into rural northern Zululand, where we will proceed to Hluhluwe in time for lunch (own account). A short ride will bring us to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park for an afternoon game drive. We proceed to the town of St Lucia. B

Protea Hotel St Lucia or similar (2 nights)

Day 6. St Lucia Wetland Park. This morning we visit the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park for a 2-hour boat cruise on the estuary, home to a huge variety of bird life, crocodiles and hippos. Your afternoon is at leisure. B

Day 7. Swaziland. We depart early morning for the second smallest country in Africa, Swaziland. We pass through scenic mountainous countryside, before arriving at Ngwenya Mine, reportedly the oldest in the world, dating back to 42 000 BC! Afterwards we continue to our lodge situated close to the beautiful Malalotja Mountain Reserve. BD

Day 8. Depart Mpumalanga. This morning visit the Nsangwini Rock Art (weather conditions permitting and walking shoes essential), the oldest rock formations on earth. Thereafter we cross back into South Africa, for a thought-provoking visit to the Thembalethu AIDS Orphanage. Your 3 Country tour ends with a drop off at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport by 13h00. B
