Two nights each at two of Tanzania's most famous safari parks give a good introduction to animals and landscape that inhabit these endless rolling plains. After time at Lake Manyara and the Serengeti, move to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and ancient Olduvai Gorge safeguard the secrets of our collective history. Spend two days learning about the crater on game drives and bush walks, where you may expect to see elephants, jackals, buffalo, blue monkey, and bush pigs, among other local residents. After all of this active exploration, head to the North Island in the Seychelles, a private island sanctuary that was purchased with the intent of creating a "Noah's Ark" where endangered Seychelles flora and fauna would be carefully monitored and protected. On North Island, 11 super-deluxe guest villas ensure that each visitor receives a maximum of privacy and staff attention.
