Tour Itinerary

Day 1:
Early morning drive for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, stopping in Kabale for lunch. Continue through beautiful countryside scenery with views of the volcanic Virungas on a clear day. Arrive in Bwindi National Park this evening, home of the rare mountain gorillas. There are a wide variety of primates to see, including the blue and red-tailed monkeys. Check in at Buhoma Homestead, a mini resort inside a thick forest, providing clean accommodations with cold and warm showers, flushing toilets and solar powered lighting. Buhoma Homestead (L,D)

Day 2:
After breakfast set off with your guide to track the gorillas. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets as the park is often wet and the trek is strenuous. Spend time watching the gorillas go about their activities. You are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. Return to camp for dinner. Day 3:
Return to Kampala with lunch enroute, making a brief stop at Mpambire drum makers for souvenir shopping. (B,L)
