Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Singapore
Overnight flight to Singapore with British Airways/Qantas
Days 2 & 3:Singapore Enjoy two nights in this vibrant city, home to stunning contemporary buildings, old colonial houses and touches of Indian, Malay and Chinese culture.
Days 4 & 5: Eastern & Oriental Express Board the Eastern & Oriental Express (Pullman Superior) for the two-night journey to Bangkok. Stops are made en route to visit the capital of Penang Island—Georgetown—and the River Kwai.
Days 6 & 7: Bangkok Arrive this afternoon in Bangkok, for two nights. Soaring temples and glittering rooftops await you in Thailand’s capital city. The Grand Palace—a visit is included—Jim Thompson’s Thai House, the klongs and the colourful nightlife are just some of the attractions.
Days 8 & 9: The Governor's Residence, Yangon Morning flight to Yangon with Thai Airways International, for two nights. In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the capital of Myanmar. Yangon is now an eclectic mix of old colonial buildings, new office complexes and, towering over all, the fabled Shwedagon Pagoda.
Days 10, 11 & 12: Road To Mandalay Air Mandalay flight to Mandalay to join the Road To Mandalay for three nights (‘A’ Deck Superior Cabin).
Days 13 & 14: Departure Leave the ship early this morning and return to Yangon, where you will be taken to a local hotel for lunch before returning to the airport. Fly to London via Bangkok, arriving on Day 14.
