Day 2. Thimphu sightseeing. Today's full day city tour includes the amazing Tashichho Dzong, which now houses the King's office andis the summer residence of the Chief Abbott. Also visit the Takin Zoo (the Takin is the national animal of Bhutan), the National Memorial Chorten, builtin thememory of the 3rd King and constructed to symbolize world peace. Continue on to the Zilukkha Nunnery and the Handicrafts Emporium. (Some sites may be closed due to unforeseen events and could be substituted for other venues.) The balance of the day is at your leisure for additional sightseeing or strolling around Thimphu. BLD* Day 3. Depart Thimphu. Stay longer in Thimphu or venture off to see more of Bhutan.
