Mandarin Oriental Hotel Dining
Our restaurants and bars have a legendary reputation amongst local society; they are such familiar rendezvous that our Clipper Lounge has even earned the epithet 'Hong Kong’s living room'.
We offer ten bars and restaurants all distinct in character. You’ll find dramatic views and bold cuisine on our 25th floor, more intimate settings in our Chinnery and Captain’s Bars and a lively sophisticated atmosphere in The Clipper Lounge and Cafe Causette on the Mezzanine.
Mandarin Grill + Bar Dining in The Mandarin Grill + Bar has long been a serious business, from the depths of our wine list to the discourse at table. A virtual club in Hong Kong, where tradition has it that fortunes and reputations were made, yet The Mandarin Grill is as evolutionary as any agile business.
Redesigned by Sir Terence Conran today we offer a gourmet theatre with an open kitchen and seating at our Crustacea Bar, exhibiting the skills of our oyster shucker and sashimi chef. Our flamboyant mixologist has created an original menu of 20 Bloody Marys and after dinner liqueur cocktails.
Our Chef de Cuisine, Sarah Briegel, sources fresh produce with passion from the premier organic farms, boutique ranches and pristine waters of the world.
Having exposed windows hidden for decades the restaurant is bathed in light all day. (Private dining is available for up to 10 guests.) Man Wah The delicacy of the cuisine is accentuated by the weight of luxury created within Man Wah. Freeing your napkin from the turquoise ring or lifting hand-carved chopsticks; each moment in Man Wah resonates with the finest riches of dining. Set high on the 25th floor, guests are welcomed into our deeply elegant dining room, an interior of vivid warmth detailed exquisitely with Oriental artworks.
We also offer a semi private room, Tsui Yin Ting, which is styled on an old Chinese pavilion and seats 12 comfortably at a round table.
In Man Wah, we have created a menu of traditional Cantonese cuisine and seasonal specialties. Signature dishes include sautéed fillet of sole with green vegetables in black bean sauce, steamed crab claws and stuffed prawns in supreme sauce, and poached pear in tangerine tea. Dim Sum is served on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The Krug Room This is a rare encounter with the House of Krug. Up to 10 guests can enter this private dining room secluded within the hotel and overlooking the creative energy of our main kitchen. Since 1843 six generations of the Krug family have cultivated the individual character of their five exceptional champagnes. Today we offer a sensational experience with culinary pairings subtly devised to complement those individual qualities, from the delicacy of Krug Rosé to the rich undertones of Krug Vintage 1995.
M Bar As you enter M Bar you are enveloped in a sensuous body of textures, shapes and images set against the heights of Hong Kong’s skyline. This is the setting to inject something mysterious and exciting into your evening.
Slip onto charcoal velvet by a ceiling to floor sheet of glass and drink in the fabulous views from the 25th floor. Mix cocktails with the essence of the East; choose from our menu of Cantonese tapas created by Man Wah.
The Captain's Bar The Captain’s Bar is a regular meeting place for the local business community; particularly popular for drinks at the end of a busy working day.
This is a convivial space; in the evenings the sound of conversation and live music spill out into our lobby. Guests join us for cocktails and post dinner digestifs.
Pierre “…it is important to me to feel emotion and to give pleasure,” Pierre Gagnaire. Indeed a dining experience at Pierre is a singular pleasure. The drama begins the moment you enter Pierre to be confronted by the oversized windows framing Victoria harbour and it never stops.
Pierre Gagnaire works with courage and flashes of intuition, which produce complex dishes with seductive flavours. He was awarded his first Michelin star in 1977 and is now one of the esteemed 3-star Michelin master chefs in the world.
Café Causette Beneath our windows guests can view displays of the world’s finest fashion, a view that will constantly change. But Café Causette will always be stylish. Walls are shot with yellow silk, banquettes ‘wear’ Chanel; our service is smart. This is a chic space for drinks or dining all day. Our menu range includes morning coffee and croissants, wok cuisine, Mediterranean salads and pizzas from our oven with unusual oriental hints.
The kitchen is a hive of activity framed in red lacquer. Our ingredients are sourced with an emphasis on healthy cuisine. The Clipper Lounge The Clipper Lounge needs no directions amongst Hong Kong residents; it is a long established rendezvous for social and relaxed business meetings.
Situated on the mezzanine floor encircling the lobby, guests have a busy view.
Our High Tea is something of an institution but guests can drink and dine all day with a buffet dinner served most evenings (except Sunday).
