Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Beijing. Welcome to the Orient. You will be met by local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2. Beijing sightseeing. Today you will embark on your coach tour with a visit to Tian An Men Square, the largest open air plaza in the world, the Forbidden City, whose acres of splendid 15th century halls and pavilions graced with imperial treasures, now comprise the Palace Museum and the Temple of Heaven.
Also visit the prestigious Summer Palace where the emperors and empresses spent their time enjoying the vast gardens and man-made lake. BL
Day 3. Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Visit one of the 7th man-made wonders of the world. Walk on The Great Wall of China at Badaling, the only man-made object visible to the naked eye from outer space. You will also visit the Ming Tombs where a total of 13 Imperial Tombs from the Ming dynasty are found. Your coach tour will pick up and drop off at your hotel. BL
Day 4. Beijing to Xian. Today, fly to the ancient capital of Xian, a veritable treasure trove of Chinese culture. Transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. B
Day 5. Xian sightseeing.Today, your coach will pick you up from your hotel and start your tour with a visit to the Xian Terra Cotta Warriors. There are over one thousand life-size terra cotta figures which have been standing guard by the tomb of Qin Shi Huang for 2,000 years. The individually sculpted warriors may be the most significant archaeological find of the century. Nearby, you will visit the Xian Art and Ceramics Factory. This afternoon visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Neolithic Banto Village.. BL
Day 6. Xian to Shanghai. This morning you will fly to Shanghai, the largest city in China. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. B
Day 7. Shanghai sightseeing. Today's private sightseeing tour includes the bustling Nanjing Road and the legendary Bund, or riverfront esplanade, (heart of the European settlement of the old Shanghai of novels and movies). Also visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the elegant Yu Yuan Gardens. BL
Day 8. Shanghai to your home city. Transfer to your return flight or possibly extend your tour to the Orient. B
