Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Arrive Beijing. Welcome to China's capital (once called Peking). You will be met by our representative and transferred to your chosen hotel. Remainder of day is at leisure.
Day 2. In Beijing. Today you will visit the infamous Tian An Men Square, the largest public plaza in the world. Then, depart Following and the Forbidden City, whose acres of splendid 15th Century halls and pavilions graced with imperial treasures now comprise the Palace Museum. This afternoon, enjoy the Summer Palace, a complex of pavilions, temples and galleries situated on an immense man-made lake. BLD
Day 3. The Great Wall. Your full day tour includes a visit to the Badaling section of The Great Wall of China, one of the world's architectural marvels. In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Way and Ming Tombs, a total of 13 Imperial tombs from the Ming dynasty. BLD
Day 4. In Beijing. Begin the day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, possibly the most popular symbol of China. You will also have the opportunity to see local people doing Tai-chi and their morning exercises. Then take time to explore the Museum of China Ancient Architecture & History of Beijing. In the afternoon, take a pedicab through the narrow Hutongs, Beijing's World Heritage Site. In the evening, enjoy a special Peking Duck dinner and Cultural Show. BLD
Day 5. Beijing/Chengde. Travel by coach from Beijing to Chengde. Enroute you will visit the Jinshanling Great Wall (or Shimatai). Stop for lunch then continue and visit the Small Potala Palace Temple. Arrive in Chengde. This city, originally called Rehe, was once the summer resort capital of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It holds rich culture related to this history as well as many historic relics dating as far back as the Neolithic Age in this city. BLD
Day 6. Chengde. Start the morning tour with a visit to the Bishushanzhuang; The Imperial Summer Resort. Stop off for lunch at a local Chinese restaurant then continue on to the Small Kashilumbu Palace and the Puning Temple. Located northeast of the Chengde Mountain Resort, the Puning Temple was built between 1755 and 1759. Because the temple houses a 22.28-metre statue of Avalokitesvara (Goddess of Mercy) with a thousand eyes and a thousand hands, it is also called Temple of the Great Goddess by the local people. BLD
Day 7. Chengde/Beijing. Travel by coach from Chengde to Beijing International Airport and check in for your flight to Shanghai. Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. BL
Day 8. Shanghai. Today's schedule includes a full day city tour to the Bund, Yu Garden and the Shanghai Museum. Enjoy the incredible Shanghai Acrobatic Show in the evening. BLD
Day 9. Shanghai / Suzhou. The morning Tour in Shanghai provides visits to the French Concession, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower for a bird's eye view of Shangai and the Jade Buddha Temple. Late afternoon, leave Shanghai for Suzhou (only 1 hour 20 minutes), Check-in an artificial deluxe of Gateway International Hotel BLD
Day 10. Suzhou. Visit the beautiful surrounding area of the Golden Rooster Lakeside & the New Developing Zoon. Then visit the Classical Garden of Master Fishing Net and the Silk Embroidery Institute. Located in the Mountain Villa of Secluded Beauty, a famous garden in Suzhou, it is noted for its elegant architecture and beautiful scenery, where the art of gardening and that of embroidery smoothly complement each other. It has over 100 specialized experts including Chinese master craftsmen, senior craftsmen, and highly qualified artists. Depart for the Garden of Lion Rock Forest, the Ancient Water City Gate across the Grand Canal & cruise along the picturesque ancient Grand Canal. BLD
Day 11. Suzhou / Hangzhou. Leave Suzhou for Hangzhou and check into your hotel. With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages, Hangzhou is one of China's most important tourist venues. In the afternoon take a cruise aboard a small sampan on West Lake to Yanggong Causey. Then visit Garden of Guo Zhuang Villa by the lakeside and have a tea break BLD
Day 12. Hangzhou. Today, visit the Ancient Ink & Calligraphy Society for viewing the lake again on Isolated Hill. Then visit Qinghefang Ancient Street to a Chinese Herb Medicine Museum and Store, and an ancient rich man's large Garden House Named Hu Xueyan Mansion. BLD
Day 13. Hangzhou / Wuzhen. This morning you will drive deep into a green forest valley to the Dragon Well Tea Plantation for a visit. Then drive along Fuchuan River to the Pagoda of Six Harmony. After that we drive to Wuzhen-one of the best reserved water-towns by the ancient Grand Canal, you will take a boat to the deluxe Wuzhen Waterside Hotel in the mid of water-town. Free in the afternoon after lunch for your own exploration. Tonight enjoy a local banquet in Wuzhen. BLD
Day 14. Wuzheng / Shanghai. Explore Wuzhen on your own in the morning. Wuzhen displays its two-thousand-year history in its ancient stone bridges floating on mild water, its stone pathways between the mottled walls and its delicate wood carvings. Also, setting it apart from other towns, it gives a unique experience through its profound cultural background. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Shanghai and check in to you hotel. The evening is free to enjoy a wide variety of cuisines. Shanghai offers a plethora of culinary delights focusing on the traditions of Beijing, Yangzhou, Sichuan, Guangzhou as well as its own local dishes. Shanghai's restaurants are among the finest to be found in China and they welcome diners from anywhere at any time. BL
Day 15. Shanghai. If time permits, explore or shop then, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. B
