One of the world’s oldest and historically important transcontinental trade routes, the Silk Road influenced the cultures of China, Central Asia and the West. The Silk Road served as the conduit not only for goods but also for the transmission of knowledge and ideas between east and west.
Tour Itinerary
Days 1 - 2 Shanghai Shanghai has become a world-class regional center of banking and finance. China’s most worldly and fashionable people speak a dialect that nobody else can understand, eat a different cuisine, and generally consider themselves to be light years ahead of their nearest competitor. Indeed, Shanghai does enjoy a higher living standard, a pulsating nightlife, and a cosmopolitan air. Grand Hyatt Shanghai
Days 3 - 5 Xian Xian is one of the most famous of China’s former historic capitals. Although Xian’s oldest monument is a Neolithic village dating back to 6,000 B.C., its most famous attraction is the tomb of China’s first Emperor, with its buried army of terracotta warrior guardians. There are still many elegant temples and magnificent tombs from several dynasties left to explore here, as well as the Shaangxi Museum housing a vast collection of relics from the past. Sofitel on Renmin Square
