Cruising the Yangtze river is on a moderate 4 star ship. Extensions can be provided to other parts of China on an independent basis after the completion of this group tour.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1.
Arrive Beijing. Welcome to the Orient. You will be met by Our local representative and transferred to your hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2.
 Beijing sightseeing. Today visit the Forbidden City, whose acres of splendid 15th century halls and pavilions graced with imperial treasures, now comprise the Palace Museum. Also visit the prestigious Summer Palace where the emperors and empresses spent their time enjoying the vast garden and man-made lake. Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest plaza in the world. BLD
Day 3.
 Great Wall and Ming Tombs. A day you won't forget! Walk on The Great Wall of China, the only man-made object visible to the naked eye from outer space. You will also visit the Changling of Ming Tombs, where a total of 13 Imperial Tombs from the Ming dynasty are found and visit Sacred Way. BLD
Day 4.
More Beijing. Visit the Temple of Heaven to see the local people doing Taiji and other morning exercises. Later, proceed to a Hutong Tour and enjoy a tour of the Museum of China Ancient Architecture & History of Beijing.. In the evening, enjoy a Peking Duck dinner and cultural show. BLD .
Day 5.
Beijing to Xian. This morning fly to the ancient capital of Xian, a veritable treasure trove of Chinese culture. Upon arrival in Xian you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Provincial History Museum. BLD
Day 6.
Xian sightseeing. Visit thousands of life-sized terra cotta warriors which have been on guard for 2,000 years. The individually sculpted warriors have been touted as the archaeological .
Day 7.
Xian to Chongqing. Fly to Chongqing to board the President No. 6 M.V.
Day 8.
Chongqing to Shibaozhai. Depart Chongqing and proceed to an off shore excursion of Shibaozhai. BLD .
Day 9.
The Three Gorges. Visit the Three Gorges, one of the most spectacular sights in China including the Wu Gorge with its "Twelve Peaks", the Qutang Gorge known for its magnificent scenery and the western section of the longest gorge, the Xiling Gorge. Also experience a boat trip on the Shennong Stream little gorge. BLD .
Day 10.
Yichang to Shanghai . Experience the world's largest hydroelectric project to be completed in 2009 then sail through the eastern section of the Xiling Gorge with its beautiful scenery. Arrive Yichang and disembark. Fly to Shanghai, the largest city in China. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. BL
Day 11.
Shanghai sightseeing. Today's sightseeing includes the legendary Bund, or riverfront esplanade, (heart of the European settlement of the old Shanghai of novels and movies). Also visit the Jade Buddha Temple, the elegant Yu Gardens, and the Carpet Factory. Tonight, enjoy the famous Chinese Acrobatic show. BLD
Day 12.
Zhujiajiao . Morning excursion to Zhujiajiao, a river-town near Shanghai famous for its old bridges and houses. Return to Shanghai for a visit to the excellent Shanghai Museum. BLD
Day 13.
Depart Shanghai. Transfer to your return or possibly extend your tour to the Orient.
