India Climate
India has five seasons; spring, summer, monsoon, autumn and winter. The monsoon hits different regions at different times as it spreads north and east from the Indian Ocean to the Himalayas. The best time to visit is between October and March when daytime temperatures are pleasantly warm and the evenings a little cooler. The hill stations such as Ooty, Munnar, Shimla and Darjeeling will be cold during December and January but the air clarity gives wonderful views of the hills.
