Venturing into the heart of India, this tour is designed for wildlife lovers, and follows the trail of the endangered Royal Bengal tiger. Traveling by jeep and on elephant back, safaris in the national parks of Bandhavgarh and Pench with naturalist guides offer an unforgettable opportunity to search for one of the world's most majestic animals in beautiful surroundings.

Here, the recently opened Mahua Kothi and Baghvan lodges have raised standards of jungle accommodation to new levels of comfort. Additional animals that may be glimpsed include: gaur (Indian bison), sloth bear, leopard, wild boar, and sambhar. Visits to the Taj Mahal and other cultural sites are also included.

Days 1-4

Delhi. Delhi city touring; Day trip to Agra and the Taj Mahal on Day 3, Taj Palace.

Day 5

Fly to Khajuraho and visit temples, Taj Chandela.

Days 6-8

Drive to Bandhavgarh. Morning and afternoon game drives, Mahua Kothi.

Days 9-11

Drive to Pench. Morning and afternoon game drives, Baghvan.

Days 12-13

Fly to Bombay. Sightseeing, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

Day 14

Depart India.
