Explore the rich heritage and diverse cultural influences of Northern India. This tour encompasses the holy city of Varanasi, the intricately carved temples at Khajuraho, the iconic Taj Mahal, the pink City of Jaipur with it’s famous bustling markets and the beautiful lakes and palaces of Udaipur.

Day 1

Late evening arrival into Delhi. You will be met upon your arrival and transferred to your hotel, Taj Palace.

Day 2

Tour the historic sights of Old Delhi, including the Red Fort, and Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, Taj Palace.

Day 3

Fly to Varanasi. Travel by rickshaw to the "ghats" and tour this medieval city, Taj Ganges Hotel.

Day 4

This morning travel by boat on the Ganges, along the "ghats." Fly to Khajuraho, Taj Chandela Hotel.

Day 5

Visit the Chandela Dynasty Temples, famous for their sculptures and erotic carvings, Taj Chandela Hotel.

Day 6

Drive to Orchha to visit its medieval palaces and temples. Early evening, board the Shatabdi Express Train to Agra. Lunch at a local restaurant, Trident Hotel.

Day 7

Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. After breakfat at your hotel, visit the vast complex of the Agra Fort with its palaces and hall of public and private audience, Trident Hotel.

Day 8

Drive to Jaipur. En route visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Lunch at a local restaurant, Trident Hotel.

Day 9

Ride elephant-back to the fort at Amber. En route you will see the Palace of Winds. Following lunch at a local restaurant visit the vast City Palace and the Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory, Trident Hotel.

Day 10

Drive to Udaipur. Visit the vast City Palace and the Crystal Gallery, and walk through the old narrow streets of the spice and silver markets, Trident Hotel.

Day 11

Day trip drive to the Jain Temples at Ranakpur. Lunch at a recently restored haveli, Trident Hotel.

Day 12

Fly to Delhi. On arrival you will be met by a our representative and transferred to your hotel, Taj Palace.

Day 13

Tour New Delhi, including India Gate, the Presidential Palace. Visit Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar. Afternoon at leisure to explore the markets. Later this evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Day 14

Early morning departure on your international flight.
