In 2002, Kirpal Singh was honored with the title of Shilp Guru, a living treasure.  Tour the school and enjoy a hands-on course in creating this famous local art. This 16th-century city was abandoned after just 18 years, but its stone palaces remain largely intact.  End your day in Agra with a stunning sunset at the Taj Mahal.  You will long remember this scene as the Taj changes color and mood, its marble walls reflecting the pinks and mauves of the receding sun.  Retreat to your luxurious resort, less than 2,000 feet from the Taj Mahal.  All rooms, suites, lobby, bar and lounge offer breathtaking views of this magnificent monument.  The Oberoi Amarvilas (B)

Day 10: Agra

(Schools open after July only).  The balance of the day is free to relax at your resort. Built in a style inspired by Moorish and Mughal architecture, the resort is a splendid display of terraced lawns, fountains, reflection pools and pavilions with rich interiors that take you back to an era of emperors and princes. Children are sure to enjoy the beautiful white marble, colonnaded swimming pool.  Set in a terraced garden and lit with torches, it could be straight from the fairytale pages of the Arabian Nights.  The Oberoi Amarvilas (B)

Day 11: Agra / Delhi
Drive back to Delhi, arriving this afternoon. The balance of the day is at leisure as you get acquainted with your new accommodations. The Oberoi, New Delhi reflects the city’s spirit in a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary sophistication. The luxury hotel overlooks Delhi’s prestigious golf club on one side and the heritage site of Humayun’s Tomb on the other. Exquisite interiors, impeccable service and fine cuisine await your family.  The Oberoi New Delhi  (B)

Day 12: Delhi
Explore the many faces of Delhi, old and new.  See ancient Qutab Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, British-era Embassy District, presidential palace, and Connaught Place.  Admire India’s largest mosque, Jama Masjid, and visit Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Your family enjoys a charming rickshaw taxi ride through the bustling and crowded streets of Old Delhi.  Tour the  extravagant Red Fort. Tonight, celebrate your family’s adventures at a gala dinner party in the private residence of India Manager, Tapas Banerjee, and his wife, Krishna.  This evening is designed to acquaint you with the lifestyle of Indian family life.
