This tour offers an opportunity to participate in different cultural aspects of Balinese life. Not only will you attend Barong and Keris dance performances, but you’ll learn the fine points of Balinese dance and Balinese offering-making during a workshop. Your Balinese cooking class begins with early morning marketing, then after breakfast you start your cooking creations.

Located at the foot of the active Merapi volcano, Yogyakarta was the seat of the mighty Javanese empire of Mataram during the 16th and 17th centuries. Sights include the Sultan’s Royal Palace, Ngasem Bird Market, Water Castle. Batik and silverwork at Kotagede. Also visit the 9th C Prambanan Hindu Temple.

The largest monument in the Southern Hemisphere, and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, massive Borobudur was built so that its four sides face the four points of the compass. Climb the temple for a spectacular view of the sunrise, and then explore the temple, learning about its history and philosophy.
