8 Days Borneo Jungle Adventure Tour Package  Borneo is a land of steamy rainforests, smoldering volcanoes, glistening beaches, lost tribes and amazing wildlife. Your adventure begins in Kota Kinabalu and follows with a visit to Turtle Island and Sukau to see turtles, proboscis monkeys, orang utans and thousands of other species of rainforest flora and fauna. End your stay back in Kota Kinabalu, relaxing on the large private beach of your resort or making the most of a wide range of activities that the whole family will enjoy together. Itinerary  Day 1Arrive in Kota Kinabalu You are met upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your resort. During the transfer your English-speaking driver/guide will provide commentary including a brief introduction to Borneo, local customs and information on your resort. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Day 2 Kinabalu Park Tour This morning you will drive up into the mountains, stopping along the way at local fruit and handicraft stalls. At the Poring Hot Springs, trek in tropical lowland forest amongst trees towering high into the sky, and to the Canopy Walkway, with a birds-eye view of the rainforest canopy. After lunch, depart for the Kinabalu Park. Here you explore the garden with its collection of orchids, pitcher plants and ferns, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. Shangri-La Rasa Ria. Day 3 To Turtle Island (Selingan) Fly to Sandakan, then boat to Selingan. Check into your chalet, then spend the rest of the day swimming or lazing on the beach. After dinner, you will be invited by a ranger to observe the turtles laying their eggs on the beach. Later the eggs are transferred to a hatchery and if there are young turtles around, you can watch their release to the sea. Turtle Island Day 4 to Sukau After breakfast, depart for Sukau. Visit the Gomantong Caves which are home to millions of bats and swiftlets. Continue on to Sukau and check into your riverside cabins. Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Kinabatangan River. In the late afternoon, embark on small boats up the tributaries of the river to see proboscis monkeys that are found only on Borneo. Silver languors, long and pig tailed macaques and sometimes even wild orang utans and pygmy elephants can be seen along the riverbanks. Bukit Melapi Lodge Day 5 to Kota Kinabalu Today after breakfast, travel overland to the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary. This is the largest rehabilitation center for orphaned Orang Utans in the world. Observe the feeding of these orang utans and watch a slide film show about the rehabilitation program. Later, fly to Kota Kinabalu where you will be met and transferred to your resort. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Day 6 White Water Rafting Today you travel to the Kiulu Valley. A careful selection will be made by your river guide for a suitable starting point where you will be briefed on safety and rafting techniques. Ride one of Borneo’s scenic rivers over gentle rapids, passing lush jungle, fruit orchards and villages. Enjoy lunch next to the river. Return to your resort in the mid-afternoon. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Day 7 Kota Kinabalu Enjoy the day today at your leisure. Enjoy the resort’s gorgeous beach or explore the Nature Reserve right at your resort. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Day 7 Depart Kota Kinabalu This morning you are transferred to the airport for your international flight. Save time, money and stress!
