Day 3:  Arrive Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital. You walk to your hotel, which is within the airport complex.. After check in , the  remainder of day is at leisure.  Pan Pacific KLIA

Day 4:  Kuala Lumpur / Miri
Fly into Miri on Borneo’s northwest shore, Malaysia’s Sarawak state. Your representative meets you and transfers to your luxury hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s journey into Gunung Mulu National Park, among the largest and most magnificent tracts of primary rain forest remaining in the world. Day 5:  Miri / Mulu National Park
Thick jungle greets you on the flight into Mulu, 128,000 acres of primary forest dominated by three mountains and towering limestone pinnacles. Here, too, are record-breaking caves such as Sarawak, the world’s largest enclosed space; Clearwater, longest cave in Southeast Asia; and Deer, world’s largest cave entrance. Spend the afternoon investigating caves and forest canopy on a boardwalk trek to Deer and Lang Caves. In the early evening, witness the enormous population of free-tailed bats, some two million strong, swarm from Lang Cave. Day 6:  Mulu / Kota Kinabalu
Wake to a chorus of wildlife, and set out by longboat to Wind and Clearwater Caves. On the way, visit a settlement of the semi-nomadic Penan tribe, and view exotic flora, including orchids and pitcher plants. Arrive at the caves for a relaxing picnic swim at a pristine natural pool. Hike into dramatic cave chambers filled with impressive formations and home to unusual, specially adapted wildlife. Day 7:  Kota Kinabalu / Padas Whitewater Rafting
Your great outdoor adventure continues with a whitewater rafting run on Padas River. Drive to the market town of Beaufort, and board a train to Pangi. Here, you suit up and are briefed on safety procedures by your river guide. Then, push off on a thrilling adventure, shooting rapids aptly named Cyclone, Roller Coaster and Jacuzzi Pool. On calm stretches, soak in the tranquility of the green wall of equatorial jungle along the banks. After your exciting run, enjoy a hearty lunch before returning to town. Day 8:  Sepilok Orangutan Center / Sukau Wildlife 
A new experience of Sabah’s great outdoors takes you to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center at Sepilok, where the largest of the primates can still be seen in their natural jungle habitat. Trek along forest boardwalks to see orphaned and rescued orangutans fed. Next, embark on a boat journey on Sabah’s longest river, Kinabatangan. View wildlife in rare mangroves and swamp forests en route to your nature lodge. Complete the day with a river safari in search of some of the ten primate species, including Proboscis monkeys, native only to Borneo. Sukau Rainforest Lodge (B,L,D)

Day 9:  Sukau / Danum Valley
Today, explore Gomantong Caves, home to more than a million swiftlets. The nests are collected and served as an Asian delicacy. Twice a year, men scale bamboo ladders to dizzying heights to collect these from the cave walls. Continue to Lahad Datu for lunch, then to your lodge beside the Danum River. A vast lowland forest is almost at your doorstep. It is inhabited by leopard, Sumatran rhinoceros, elephant, clouded leopards, orangutans and a wealth of rare plants and birds. Day 10:  Danum Valley
Today’s activities immerse you in the pristine nature of the Danum Valley. Rise with the sun for an early bird-watching walk. Trek with your guide to a waterfall and cool off in the refreshing rock pools. Head up to the escarpment to see ancient burial coffins.  Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the forest from the canopy walkway.  Borneo Rainforest Lodge (B,L,D)

Day 11:  Lahad Datu / Kota Kinabalu / Kuala Lumpur
Get in one more trek this morning to search for more mammals and birds before departing to Lahad Datu. Here, you board a flight to Kota Kinabalu, where you connect to Kuala Lumpur. On arrival, you walk over to your hotel in the arrivals hall.. Pan Pacific KLIA ( B )

Day 12:  Kuala Lumpur / Depart
