Leave Kuala Lumpur for Taman Negara National Park, where you will explore one of the world's most ancient tracts of rainforest on a privately guided tour. From Taman Negara, head to the cool, refreshing Cameron Highlands, where the flavor of colonial Asia mingles with a heady jungle atmosphere. Among the highlights of the Cameron Highlands visit will be a chance to meet some of the Orang Asli ("Original People") who have lived in Malaysia since time immemorial and tour a tea plantation, vegetable farm, and rose garden. Your accommodation in the Cameron Highlands will be the Lakehouse, a charming Tudor-style hillside resort.
