Continue on to Mandalay, Burma's capital before the British arrival and still an important cultural center, and the jumping-off point for visits to the nearby ancient cities of Amarapura, Sagaing and Mingun. Next visit the Inle Lake region, a delightful expanse of calm waters and floating gardens inhabited by the Intha people and other ethnic minorities. Spend two nights touring the lake and surrounding villages before returning to Yangon for a final day of touring.
