Your Thai Sun Escape starts with a short stay in the always exciting capital city, Bangkok which will give you a flavour of the country as a whole before you head off to Phuket, our resort of choice.

Bangkok, the Thai capital since 1782, is a national treasure house. Major attractions include Buddhist temples, palaces, floating markets, "Venice of the East" canal scenes, classical dancing performances, legendary nightlife, and numerous shops selling Thai silk, gemstones, bronze and pewter ware. No wonder Thais call this exotic city "The City of Angels."

Phuket is Thailand's largest island lying off the country's south-west coast connected to the mainland by a bridge. Imagine a combination of long white sandy beaches, an azure sea and a backdrop of forested hillsides to delight the senses. The area is surrounded by small exotic islands, some of which can be easily visited on excursions. Watersports abound and for the scuba diver or snorkeller, this is a haven waiting to be explored and, what's more, Phuket boasts the best seafood in Thailand.

Day 1. Arrive Bangkok. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the next 3 nights. Welcome to Thailand.

Days 2. Bangkok. Today, visit the The Grand Palace, Chakri Maha Prasad, one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Thai court also the former residence for the Thai kings. You will see the Reception Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall and the beautiful Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keo). One can easily visualize the splendour & pageantry of the past. Ladies and gentlemen are required to dress suitably.

Continue to visit Wat Po, home of the enormous Reclining Buddha and one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok. Here the Traditional Medicine Practitioners of Bangkok have their headquarters and Traditional Thai Massage is taught and practiced here. The remainder of the day is free to explore Bangkok.

Day 3. Bangkok. The day is free to explore, shop or take additional tours.

Days 4 - 10. Bangkok to Phuket. A short flight to this beautiful island. Transfer to the hotel of your choice for the next 7 nights. Enjoy your Thai Sun Escape. Relax, swim, explore the island or take excursions, which can be arranged by our local representatives. Snorkelling and Scuba Diving can also easily be arranged locally.

Day 11. Homebound flight. After being transferred to the airport, fly back via Bangkok for connection to your next destination.
