Day 1: USA or Canada/Bangkok, Thailand Depart on an overnight flight to Bangkok. Day 2: Bangkok Bangkok is a unique city with a fascinating waterborne life, where business is often carried out on the intricate systems of Klongs (canals). Divided in two by the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok proper is on the east side and Thonburi on the west; your hotel is ideally located on the shores of the river. The Peninsula Bangkok Day 3: Bangkok Begin your day with a private visit to the Prasart Museum. Located in a lush tropical garden, the museum houses replicas of traditional buildings, including a golden teak palace inspired by the royal residence, a Sukhothai Period teak library, a Chinese temple and water garden, a Khmer shrine and a 19th-century European-style mansion. Later, join fellow travellers for cocktails and dinner to welcome the start of your exciting adventure. The Peninsula Bangkok B L D Day 4: Bangkok This morning, you have the opportunity to make a food offering to the monks and receive a blessing of good karma in return. Then cruise along Bangkok's famous canals. As your long-tail boat travels along the hidden klongs of the Chao Phraya River, discover the unspoiled way of life of the people who live along her banks. Continue to visit the Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Your afternoon is at leisure. Transfer to your resort located in the picturesque Golden Triangle, the area where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. In the afternoon, head to Chiang Saen where you board a boat for a cruise on the Khong River. Gazing from the bow of your riverboat, take in the breathtaking view over three countries as you pass through the Golden Triangle.
