Explore the Temple of the Emerald Buddha; then continue to the Grand Palace, a vast complex of halls, statues and gardens
DAY 3:
Explore the sights along Bangkok's famous canals, followed by a visit to the Flower Market.
DAY 4:
Drive to Korat, stopping at Lopburi along the way. Explore the Angkor-period temple complex at Pimai, which was once linked to Angkor Wat by an ancient road.
DAY 5:
Visit Khmer ruins in Phnom Rung. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Ubon Ratchathani.
DAY 6:
Spend the morning at Preah Vihear, a spectacular Khmer temple with an unusual long, linear design.
DAYS 7-8:

Transfer to Pakse, where you travel by longtail riverboat to board your river cruiser, 'Vat Phou.' Spend two days floating downstream among a wild paradise of "4,000 islands," stopping at remote villages that have remained unchanged for centuries. During the evenings, enjoy dinner under the stars.
DAY 9:
Continue your riverboat adventure, visiting Khone Island. Back on the mainland, witness the amazing splendor of the Khong Pha Peng waterfall, located close to the Cambodian border. Return to Pakse and travel overland to the border of Laos.
DAY 10:
Fly to Luang Prabang, once the royal capital of the Kingdom of Laos. Climb Phoussy Hill at sunset for a breathtaking view of the city.
DAY 11:
After morning sightseeing take an afternoon cruise to the Pak Ou Caves. This evening, enjoy a traditional baci ceremony, the custom by which Laotians impart the blessing of the spirits.
DAY 12:
Visit the Royal Palace Museum and local market before flying to Bangkok.
DAY 13:
Transfer to the airport to board your homebound flight.
