 Experience Lhasa's central attractions and its surrounding monasteries on this five-day tour. Your first day in Lhasa, drive to the Sera Monastery, where impressive rock paintings and carvings are on display, and explore the Norbulingkha, which once served as the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas. The next day, visit the Potala Palace, the sacred Jokhang Monastery, and the surrounding Barkhor market, where traders and pilgrims meet. Finally, explore the countryside surrounding Lhasa on a day trip to Ganden or Tsurphu monastery. Both monasteries have played key roles in the spiritual and political life of Tibet, and are set amid classically dramatic Tibetan landscape.
