From dynamic Ho Chi Minh City in the south to vibrant, northern Hanoi with its colonial past, contemporary Vietnam is certainly a juxtaposition of old and new. Explore ancient temples, modern pagodas, dynastic cities, lively floating markets, vast river deltas and picturesque bays. You’ll encounter thrilling mountain passes, brilliant green terraced farmland, sleepy seaside villages and revitalized colonial architecture—all the while dining on wonderful French-infused cuisine!

Days 1-2

Walk and cyclo through colonial Hanoi, seeing the old and the newer sites, Sofitel Metropole Hotel.

Day 3

Cruise hidden Halong Bay, lunch and dinner on board. Overnight on either a Private Junk or the Emeraude Classic.

Day 4

Return to Hanoi and an afternoon and evening of leisure in the city, Sofitel Metropole Hotel.

Day 5

Fly to Hue, cruise down the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, and enjoy a performance of the Royal Traditional Theater at the Imperial Citadel, La Residence Hotel & Spa.

Day 6

After exploring the royal tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, travel over Hai Van pass to Danang. Visit the Cham Museum and the Marble Mountains with their beautiful grottoes and temples, Nam Hai.

Days 7-8

Take a scenic bike ride down to a local house and try your hand at making one of the famous lanterns of the region. On foot, visit historic Hoi An, Nam Hai.

Days 9-10

Fly to Nha Trang. Spend two days of leisure at Six Senses Hideaway, Ninh Van Bay.

Days 11-13

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Visit main historic sites as well as the Ben Thanh Market. Investigate the incredible Cu Chi Tunnels and dine in a colonial French villa. Experience the lively floating market at Cai Be, rice fields, fruit orchards, stilt houses and bamboo bridges, Park Hyatt Hotel.
