Home to five World Heritage Sites, culturally distinctive hill tribes, spectacular scenery and vibrant cities. Vietnam has burst onto the international travel scene, having emerged from a long, dark history of conflict. Today’s Vietnam welcomes visitors with scenic wonders such as Halong Bay; rich cultural traditions of the ethnic hill tribe villages in the central mountains; more than 2,000 miles of coastline on the South China Sea; and vivacious cities, where history rubs shoulders with modern innovations. Vietnam is an eccentric country that is well on its way to becoming an established destination.
