Day 2. Riverina. Today we make a short stop in Mildura before travelling through the Sunraysia district to Renmark. Camp: Renmark. BLD

Day 3. Barossa Valley - Adelaide. Today enjoy a winery tour and a chance to sample some Australian wine. This afternoon is free for you to explore Adelaide. Mercure Grosvenor Hotel. B

Day 4. Flinders Ranges National Park. We head north through the Flinders Ranges National Park to Wilpena Pound, one of the best known features of the park. Camp: Wilpena Pound. BLD

Day 5. Wilpena Pound to Marree . Time this morning to explore the many walking trails at Wilpena Pound. This afternoon we travel north (conditions permitting) through the tiny remote townships of Leigh Creek and Lyndhurst. Camp: Marree BLD

Day 6. Lake Eyre to Coober Pedy. An opportunity to fly over Lake Eyre before continuing to Coober Pedy. See how the locals live under-ground, inspect a mine and browse through opal displays. Tonight sleep underground in a dugout, a unique experience! Camp: Coober Pedy. BLD

Day 7. Ayers Rock. Cross the border into the Northern Territory. Tonight enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles as we watch the sunset over Uluru (Ayers Rock) Camp: Ayers Rock, 2 nights. BLD

Day 8. Ayers Rock - Olgas. Morning climb to the summit of Ayers Rock, followed by a guided tour of the base. This afternoon visit the Olgas. BD

Day 9. Kings Canyon. At Kings Canyon climb to the Canyon rim for spectacular views. Camp: Kings Creek Station. BLD

Day 10. MacDonnell Ranges. Visit Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm on our way to Alice Springs. Camp: Alice Springs, 2 nights. BLD

Day 11. Alice Springs. A free day to relax or perhaps do some souvenir hunting. B

Day 12. Tennant Creek. This morning enjoy a short town tour of Alice Springs. Explore the Devils Marbles, before arriving at the gold mining town of Tennant Creek. Camp: Tennant Creek. BD

Day 13. Katherine. Today continue north along the Stuart Highway to the town of Katherine. Camp: Katherine. BD

Day 14. Kakadu National Park. This morning enjoy a cruise on Katherine Gorge. This afternoon we travel to Kakadu National Park. Camp: Kakadu National Park. BD

Day 15. Kakadu to Darwin. We cross numerous dry river beds on our way to Charters Towers. Camp: Charters Tower. B

Day 16. Darwin. A free day for independent sightseeing in this tropical city. 16 day passengers depart tour after breakfast. B

Day 17. Mataranka. Depart Darwin and travel to the Adelaide River War Cemetery. Enjoy the Leliyn tour at Edith Falls with a local Aboriginal guide. Later swim in the Mataranka thermal springs. Camp: Mataranka. BLD

Day 18. Barkly Tablelands. Travel along the Carpentaria Highway into cattle station country. Bush Camp: Barkly Tablelands Homestead. BLD

Day 19. Mt Isa. Today travel across the Northern Territory border into Queensland before arriving in the mining town of Mt Isa. Camp: Mt Isa. BLD

Day 20. Gulf Country. We cross numerous dry river beds on our way to Charters Towers. Camp: Charters Towers. BLD

Day 21. Atherton Tablelands. Travel through the tropical plateau known as the Atherton Tablelands. Visit Curtain Fig Tree and Milla Milla Falls on the way to Cairns. 11 day passengers join in Cairns. Camp: Cairns (3 nights). BLD

Day 22. Great Barrier Reef. Today cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Visit the underwater observatory, semi-submersible boat or snorkel over the coral gardens. BLD

Day 23. Skyrail - Kuranda Railway. This morning, board the Skyrail Cableway and Kuranda Train for a journey above the lush rainforest canopy. Enjoy the Pamagirri Experience, before boarding the Kuranda train back to Cairns. B

Day 24. Townsville - Airlie Beach. Travel to Townsville. In the afternoon we continue south to Airlie Beach. 24 day passengers depart tour after breakfast. Camp: Airlie Beach, 2 nights. BD

Day 25. Whitsunday Island. Cruise by catamaran to Hamilton Island. Spend time exploring the Island before traveling to Whitehaven Beach. A delicious buffet lunch is included. BL

Day 26. Rockhampton. Travel to Mackay for a short break. Free time this afternoon in Rockhampton before continuing to south to Langmorn Station. Camp: Langmorn Station. BLD

Day 27. Hervey Bay. Travel via Miriam Vale to Hervey Bay. Camp: Hervey Bay (2 nights). BLD

Day 28. Fraser Island. A 4WD tour of Fraser Island today. Tour 75 Mile Beach, the Cathedrals and Eli Creek. BLD

Day 29. Brisbane - Gold Coast. Travel to Brisbane for an orientation tour then continue on to to the famous Gold Coast. Camp: Gold Coast. B

Day 30. Coffs Harbour. Travel to colourful Byron Bay. After a short stop, continue to Coffs Harbour. Hotel: Pelican Beach Resort. BD

Day 31. Arrive Sydney. Travel south over the Hawkesbury River into the harbour city of Sydney. Air passengers will be transferred to the airport. BL
