Day 1. Launceston to Cradle Mountain. You will meet your guide and group at Paddy Pallin outdoor gear shop in Launceston and travel to Cradle Mountain. Spend the afternoon exploring the small lakes, waterfalls and rainforests of the Cradle Valley. Visit the magnificent Ballroom Forest and the cool silent waters of Dove Lake. Overnight in cabins for 2 nights. (Half day walking - 3 hours, approximately 5km)

Day 2. Cradle Mountain. Walk to the summit of Cradle Mountain via an ancient glacial cirque – now known as Crater Lake. The summit is above 1500m, so the weather can be changeable as you walk through the button grass plains and the alpine herb meadows. View the rugged Tasmanian Highlands. The final leg is over the boulders and is optional and quite challenging. (Full day walking - up to 8 hours, approximately 12km)

Day 3. Cradle Mountain to Launceston. After a leisurely morning walk and time to view the visitor centre, take a stroll on some of the short but very scenic walks near the centre. Relax before departing for Launceston arriving back at approximately 5:00pm. (Half day walking - 3 hours approximately 5km)
