Day 1: Depart USA
Depart today aboard your flight down under to Melbourne, Australia.

Day 2: En route

Day 3: Arrive Melbourne, Australia
Arrive in Melbourne early this morning, where a you'r representative welcomes you and takes you to your hotel in a private deluxe sedan/limo. Later, you discover historic Melbourne on foot with your guide. Culminate your tour at Rialto Tower, Melbourne’s most recognized landmark, with its expansive views from an observation deck. Tonight, you have an opportunity for a unique dining experience – a rolling restaurant. Enjoy a delightful five-course meal as the converted air-conditioned 1927 tram cruises the streets. Choice of Hotels .

Day 4: Melbourne / Phillip Island / Melbourne -
The morning is at leisure. For your convenience, you have a one-day tram pass allowing you explore Melbourne on your own. This afternoon, you head out for Phillip Island, where every evening at dusk, penguins come home from the sea to the island, waddling past you on the way to their burrows for the night. Return late this evening. Choice of Hotels (B)

Day 5: Melbourne / Adelaide
This morning, you fly to gracious Adelaide. You are escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day is yours to see museums, art galleries, botanical gardens or shops. Choice of Hotels (B)

Day 6: Adelaide / Kangaroo Island / Adelaide
This morning, drive to scenic Cape Jervis to board a boat to Kangaroo Island, where you see a breeding colony of sea lions at Seal Bay. Flinders Chase National Park is a sanctuary for indigenous animals such as kangaroo, wallaby, koala and more. Admiral’s Arch boardwalk goes down a rugged cliff face to a natural rock arch and a nursery for fur seals. Return to Adelaide via a short flight. Choice of Hotels (B,L)

Day 7: Adelaide / Alice Springs
Fly to Alice Springs, the heart of the Outback. This afternoon, saddle up for an unusual safari – on camel back. Camels prove ideal for exploring Todd River’s plants and wildlife. Your safari ends at Frontier Camel Farm, where you savor a tasty home-cooked. three-course dinner. Drive back to Alice Springs and your hotel. Alice Springs Resort (B,D)

Day 8: Alice Springs / Ayers Rock
Travel south through mountains and ruggedly handsome country. Visit a camel farm. Witness the remarkable Olagas rise out of the red desert floor as you approach. A naturalist guide explains the nature of this dramatic land. A dune lookout offers delicious panoramas of the Olgas, a sacred place to the Aboriginals. Venture into Olga Gorge to see how this mystic place evolved over eons. The domes of the Olgas flush red as sun sets. Return to Yulara beneath a blanket of brilliant stars. Choice of Hotels (B)

Day 9: Ayers Rock (Uluru)
Rise early this morning to share an almost theatrical sunrise at Ayers Rock, known to Aboriginal people as Uluru. During Liru Walking Tour, your Aboriginal guide takes you on a ‘walkabout,’ telling creation stories from a culture that harks back uncounted generations. See how traditional tools and weapons are fashioned. Practice throwing a spear. Tonight, journey into the desert where haunting sounds of a didgeridoo welcomes you to a traditional outback barbecue. Listen and feel this great wilderness. Using a telescope, an astronomer introduces you to stars, planets and constellations of this foreign night sky. Return to your hotel, satisfied and content. Day 10: Ayers Rock / Cairns
This morning, you leave the Northern Territory and fly to Cairns, Queensland. You are transferred to your waterfront hotel. Rest of the day is free to wander town. Choice of Hotel (B)

Day 11: Cairns / Kuranda / Cairns
Embark on a train journey through hand-hewn tunnels and across bridges with stunning views. Explore the village and its markets. Or, choose an optional visit to the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or colorful Birdworld. Then, board Skyrail for a spellbinding rainforest experience as you glide above the rainforest canopy. Your journey ends at Caravonica Lakes and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Explore Tjapukai, its history, Aboriginal village and. Tjapukai Dance Troupe. Choice of Hotels (B,L)

Day 12: Cairns / Great Barrier Reef / Cairns
Today, a full-day cruise to the Outer portion of the Great Barrier Reef allows you to examine this natural wonder. Snorkel or view the depths from an underwater observatory. Ride in a semi-submersible vessel to see reef life up close. The reef is actually a thriving community of more than 2,800 coral reefs. Return to Cairns this afternoon. Choice of Hotels (B,L)

Day 13: Cairns / Sydney
Fly to Sydney. A you'r representative escorts your hotel, which is in walking distance of the Rocks and the lovely harbor. Balance of the day is free. Choice of Hotels (B)

Day 14: Sydney
This morning, meet your guide in the Rocks for a fascinating walking tour of the oldest quarter of Sydney. Meander historic streets and learn about its early convict settlement. Old Sydney’s rascals, rogues and heroes come alive on cobbled lanes, in old neighborhoods. Shops, old and new, pubs, hotels, and charming churches all combine to weave a rich tapestry of life in the past and present. At Circular Quay, board Magistic Luncheon Cruise, a relaxing lunch cruise around the harbor. Tour the eccentric Opera House. Then, you are free to continue your personal exploration of the city. Day 15: Sydney
Today, your are free to pursue your own interests. Tonight, a you'r representative meets you at your hotel to escort you to a waterfront restaurant for a farewell dinner. After dinner, enjoy a final walk back to your hotel. Choice of Hotel (B,D)

Day 16: Sydney / Depart
This morning, bid farewell to Australia as you board your flight for home. (B)
