Highlights include Hofburg Palace, Schönbrunn Palace, Prague Castle, and Krumlov Castle. Enjoy a special dinner and concert in Vienna, and a private art and dining event with Czech nobility at a castle.


Itinerary

Day 1: Hello Hungary
Your Eastern Europe travel adventure begins at 5:00 p.m. at your Budapest hotel. Your transfer from Budapest Ferihegy International Airport to the hotel is included. Meet fellow travelers and your Our Director at the welcome reception and dinner.

Day 2: Sightsee Budapest
Tour landmarks in Budapest; view Heroes’ Square, bounded by the finest architectural works in Hungary; the Parliament building, a Neo-Gothic masterpiece; and Fishermen’s Bastion, with Neo-Romanesque design; and the opulent State Opera House. Get an overview of the city from Gellért Hill. Enjoy free time in the afternoon.

Day 3: Schönbrunn Palace
Travel to Vienna, Austria, where your first stop is Schönbrunn Palace, an Eastern Europe travel highlight. It was built to rival Versailles with 1,400 rooms, including a Hall of Mirrors, and served as the summer residence for Austria’s emperors. Take a guided tour of the State Apartments and formal gardens. In the evening, experience an Imperial Evening, Vienna style.

Day 4: A day in Vienna

In the afternoon, choose among many museums and parks for your own exploration.

Day 5: Eastern Europe travel continues in Historic Cesky Krumlov
Admire vineyards, castles, and monasteries on your journey to the Czech Republic. Tour the town, crowned by Krumlov Castle, built in the 13th century with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements; continue on to Prague for a three-night stay in the Czech Republic's historic capital.

Day 6: Explore Prague
Take a walking tour of Prague’s Old Town, linked to the castle district by the ornate Charles Bridge. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the astronomical clock. Tour the Jewish Quarter, highlighted by the Old-New Synagogue founded in the 13th century. Take in other city sights on your own in the afternoon.

Day 7: Hradcany Castle
In the Hradcany district, tour Hradcany Castle, one of the largest ancient castles in the world. See the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the coronation site for Czech kings and queens. Visit St. Wenceslas Chapel, the most beautiful of the cathedral’s side chapels. In the evening, attend the exclusive farewell event at Nelahozeves Castle. Meet a member of Czech nobility at a private reception and enjoy the gala dinner.

Day 8: Check out of the Czech Republic
