Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart USA
Overnight flight to Madrid.
Day 2 - Arrive Madrid (2 nights)
Benvenido Madrid! After check-in , time to explore. Later, meet your Tour Director for a Welcome Drink and to learn more about your Spanish adventure!
Hotel: Confortel Suites (2 nights)
Day 3 - Toledo excursion and Madrid sightseeing
First we drive to Toledo ,which is magnificently situated on a hill surrounded by a meander in the Tagus River. Our walking tour includes a visit to the Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tomé and a Damascene steel workshop because virtually all of the swords in Spain were forged in Toledo! Then back to Madrid where we drive along the wide tree-lined avenues to see the Cervantes Memorial in the Plaza de España, the Puerta del Sol and and we take a stroll to see the magnificent Plaza Mayor. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Madrid – Cordoba – Seville (2 nights)
Today our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure and we will hear about the legendary Don Quixote who jousted at windmills! Then to Cordoba where we visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn of the Moorish history of the region. Then we continue to our hotel in Seville. Tonight we enjoy a fantastic barbecue Spanish style! (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 5 - Seville sightseeing and at leisure
Our sightseeing tour takes us through the tree-lined streets of Seville to the beautiful cathedral with its mighty Giralda Bell Tower and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. We will also see the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park, and walk through the Jewish quarter. This afternoon we are have a Flamenco dancing lesson – we will really be able to impress our friends when we get home!! (Buffet breakfast)
Day 6 - Seville – Granada
A scenic drive takes us to Granada to enjoy a guided sightseeing tour including one of the most impressive sights in Spain, the Moorish Alhambra Palace, described as a ‘fantasy of lace in stone.’ We also wander through the exotic water gardens and have amazing views over the town and the surrounding hills from the terraces. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7 - Granada – Valencia
Today we drive to Guadix where you can see the largest number of cave dwellings in the province. Some of the cave dwellings look like small cottages. Others look like walled earthen mounds with chimneys sticking out of the earthen parts! Time to take pictures then on to Valencia, renowned for its oranges, where we see the Bull Ring and the Towers of Serrano and Quart. Then we learn that Valencia is also the place where paella was invented and we learn how to make this fantastic dish and to eat it too!! (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 8 - Valencia – Barcelona (2 nights)
Our first stop is Peniscola, situated on a peninsula, it is dominated by the medieval fortified castle, with reminders of knights on horseback from the past. Then on to Barcelona where on arrival we will enjoy a sightseeing tour which highlights the fantastic architectural creations of Gaudi, the Ramblas, the Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic quarter with its magnificent cathedral. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 9 - Barcelona at leisure
Today maybe drive to seaside Montjuic , site of the 1992 Olympics, or rent a bicycle and pedal around the beach and the Parc de la Ciutadella or visit the Nou Camp , the largest football stadium in Europe? This evening we enjoy a special Farewell Dinner together with our Tour Director and new-found friends to celebrate the end of our tour together. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell dinner)
Day 10 - Barcelona - USA
Adios to Spain, our Tour Director and our new touring friends as our Spanish tour comes to an end but we will soon return next year to explore more of Europe! Return flight to USA. (Buffet breakfast)
