 Guests enter into an airy lobby with lightwood and marble columns, floors and reception desk, a large glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling, large green potted plants and abstract iron sculptures on the walls. The open-plan lounge bar in the corner provides an informal place for corporate and leisure guests to meet clients.
As well as meeting rooms, a ballroom and business center, the hotel boasts a large health center with an outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, aerobics classes and spa facilities.
The hotel has 16 meeting rooms in total, which all have audio-visual facilities available. Smart Rooms, which cater for up to 25 theater style, have wood-paneled walls, blue carpets and black chairs, audio-visual facilities including plasma screens and video conferencing and break-out areas. Other meeting rooms cater for up to 150 theater style. The ballroom is a large conference room located on the mezzanine level above the lobby, with a dedicated foyer with marble floors, easy chairs, sofas and large paintings, which can be used for coffee breaks, exhibitions and secretarial support. The ballroom caters for up to 590 theater style but can be divided in to smaller rooms. There is also a business center with TV, several computers, dial-up Internet access (fee), photocopier, fax and secretarial services.
The Health Club is a concession run by Viva Em Forma and is open to both guests and outside members - it is free for Tower Room guests. From the moment guests step into the marble floored reception the smell of eucalyptus alerts the senses and prepares them for a session in the gym or something more relaxing. The gym has cardiovascular and weights machines and there are aerobics classes in the studio. Men and women have separate access from their changing rooms, which have lounge chairs and even bunk beds to relax in, as well as a sauna and Turkish bath. Treatment rooms offer hydrotherapy with algae and massage. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, a treat in a central Lisbon hotel, with decking, tables and chairs.

Dining
Caravela - Fitted with beige marble floors and buffet counter, white cane chairs and complementing fabrics in blue, this restaurant has several large hand-painted panels of blue and white azulejos (Portuguese tiles) depicting sea-faring scenes from Portugal's golden age of discovery. A buffet breakfast is served here and during the week a buffet lunch, whilst at the weekends lunch is a la carte, with an international menu and a strong flavor of Portuguese cooking.
Panorama Bar and Restaurant - Located on the top floor of the hotel, this restaurant and bar offers fabulous views of the city. The bar area, with carpeted floor and cushioned chairs, is a relaxed space for pre-dinner drinks, whilst the restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere for a lunch or dinner meeting, with screens and plants separating the tables. There is an a la carte menu of international and Portuguese food, and a separate room for private functions, catering for up to 200 diners, has a table d'hote menu.
The Lounge Bar - Located on the ground floor by the lobby, this is a large round wooden bar and split-level seating area with wooden floors, upholstered sofas, easy chairs and stools in complementing green fabrics. Plants are dotted around the bar with 18th-century statues on podiums in between, as well as original hand-painted blue and white azulejos (tiles) depicting Lisbon sites. As well as drinks, the bar serves a selection of snacks and express lunches of soups and sandwiches.
