General Information:
Welcome to La Residencia in Deià, a charming village of elegant buildings hewn from local stone, tucked into the foothills of the Sierra Tramuntana on Mallorca's north-west coast and just a stone's throw from the clear blue Mediterranean.
RoomsThe bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated in traditional Majorcan style. Calm natural tones, crisp white bed linen and curtains that float in the breeze, simple yet elegant, with all the comfort and extras you expect and more.
The wooden shuttered windows overlook the lush landscaped gardens, which provide fresh herbs and olive oil for the kitchen, fruits for the homemade morning marmalades and fresh flowers for the rooms.
Luxury & Superior Suites
 Suites 54 and 66
Located in the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool, these suites offer a very spacious lounge area with luxurious fittings including plasma screen TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player, wet bar and open fireplace. The comfortable bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with dressing area, separate wc and shower areas. Leading off from the lounge is a terrace with private swimming pool, outdoor dining area and a covered pergola with seating. Suite 66 is the most private of our suites because of its situation on the top of the Son Fony building.
Suite 67
This suite has access from the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. It is located laterally, with views over the village of Deià and the Tramuntana mountains. There is a lovely large terrace area with private swimming pool, one bedroom area with four poster bed and a separate lounge with small kitchenette and with luxurious fittings including plasma screen TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access and mp3 player. An ideal suite for privacy and relaxation.
Suite 61
This suite is situated in the Son Fony building and has a spacious lounge area with luxurious fittings including plasma screen TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player, wet bar and open fireplace. The terrace provides a covered seating area plus a plunge pool with lovely views and towards the village.
Superior Suites
Luxury Tower Suite
Our Tower Suite is situated in the ancient tower, the oldest part of the hotel building and thought to have been first built by the Templar Knights. Built as a watchtower it has magnificent views in all directions providing a superb panorama of the mountains, village and sea. The luxury suite is on two levels and access is by a stone spiral staircase. On the first floor is a bedroom and luxury bathroom – both with admirable views, and the staircase c ontinues upwards to the top floor where there is a spacious lounge area with luxurious fittings including TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player and an outdoor private sun terrace. The suite is very popular with honeymoon couples as it is a truly romantic hideaway.
Suite 64
This Superior Suite is situated in the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. It has a spacious bedroom with a suite bathroom and a separate lounge area with luxurious fittings including plasma screen TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player and a terrace leading off it with views towards the Tramuntana mountains. This is a beautiful and light room offering nice views towards the village from the bedroom and views towards the village and the mountains from the lounge.
Junior Suites
 Our Junior Suites are furnished with antique Mallorquin furniture, and each has its individual characteristics.
Some have a private balcony, a little private garden, terraces, and all have a four poster bed and a living room equipped with television, dvd, free Wi-Fi access and mp3 player.
Double Rooms
Our Standard Double rooms offer every comfort with the elegance of antique Mallorquin furniture and some with high ceilings.
Our Superior Double rooms are furnished with antique Mallorquin furniture. All of them have TV, DVD, free Wi-Fi access and mp3 player. Some of these rooms have lovely high ceilings or little romantic corners. Most of our Superior Double rooms have four poster beds.
Single Rooms
Our Single Rooms are lovely decorated rooms, with antique and traditional Mallorquin furniture and white linen.
All rooms are equipped with television, dvd, free Wi-Fi access and mp3 player. Bathrooms are fully equipped and with a bath tube.
Dining
The hotel offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere. In summer we offer several restaurants for you to choose from.
 El Olivo - Our Gourmet restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. As soon as the weather permits we move the restaurant out onto the terrace overlooking the village. People like to “dress up” when dining in this very romantic setting and the dress code is casual smart, which means no shorts, for example. Our executive chef offers his special gourmet menu or à la carte.
Son Fony - Our casual restaurant is located by the pool and offers Mediterranean cuisine using local products. The Son Fony restaurant is open most of the year.
The pool bar and beach bar Lluc Alcari are only open during the summer season, from May until October, weather permitting.
Poolside Bar -On hot summer days the pool bar offers a cool relaxing ambience under the shady pergola, just what is needed when the sun is high
 Hotel Bar - At our Hotel Bar we suggest you try our snack menu whilst enjoying the fantastic views over the village and mountains. You can also choose your favourite cocktail, or our barman's suggestion of the day. During the winter months, we invite you to make yourself comfortable near one of our fireplaces.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon snacks are a speciality of the bar - why not enjoy them together with a glass of Champagne. English tea, scones, sandwiches and biscuits are also a popular attraction of the Hotel Bar and are served from 3.30pm.
ActivitiesThis beautiful sierra offers the island's best walking - follow old paved mule tracks as they wind through wooden valleys, between terraces of olive and citrus groves, and high above the coast. We can also organise walks with a local guide.
At regular intervals, classical music concerts are also held in La Residencia, for the hotel boasts possession of a very special and unique Steinway piano dating from 1887. This piano, which had lain in disuse for many years, was purchased by the hotel, fully restored, and re-inaugurated on September 18, 1987, exactly one hundred years after the famous Spanish composer, Albéniz had first inaugurated the instrument. This time, the honour was given to the prize-winning Australian pianist, Jonathan Plowright, who included several works by Albéniz in his programme.
The new hotel SPA with 6 treatment rooms, four of which have a private outdoor massage area. More beauty therapists on hand, all trained in La Stone Therapy, reflexology and other spa treatments. An outdoor Jacuzzi with spectacular views over sea and mountains, a sauna, a steam room and a 16 metre indoor pool.
La Residencia also proposes a fully-equipped Gymnasium to provide complete workout. Many guests are golfers who take advantage of Majorca 18 golf courses to practice their sport. The hotel can reserve these for clients.

Swimming Pools
 Many guests are reluctant to leave La Residencia itself and its choice of swimming pools mean that simply relaxing and watching the day go by is a memorable experience. On hot summer days the pool bar offers a cool relaxing ambience under the shady pergola, just what is needed when the sun is high.
La Residencia offers one indoor and two outdoor swimming pools. Three of our luxury suites also have a totally private pool surrounded by a terrace and gardens.
Tennis
La Residencia offers two tennis courts, surrounded by the spectacular Tramuntana mountains overlooking the Mediterranean sea, including one equipped with lights for evening practice.
The courts have recently been resurfaced with greenset© cushion. Other facilities include: table tennis, practice hitting wall, pro shop and comfortable sitting areas for spectators.
Local Activities
 By Sea... Discover one of the best marine underworlds of the Mediterranean sea with Octopus. This well experienced diving school is situated in Puerto Sóller and is fully equipped to make you enjoy your dives with the highest safety. More than 30 dive spots await you on Majorca's northwest coast. In an immersion around 30m you can see caverns with spectacular light effects ideal for submarine photos, as well as all the Mediterranean flora & fauna: red coral, eels, lobster, octopus. Some of our most beloved diving spots are Na Foradada, Cova Blava, Es Cavall, Cova d'es Pintor, and Es Joncar.
Sail towards the horizon aboard a private boat while admiring one of the most romantic and spectacular sunsets in the Mediterranean. The excursion takes 2 hours.
Enjoy a day at the sea on board a private boat, navigating along the Costa Nord, the most beautiful coast of Majorca. Meet at Puerto Sóller and sail towards Sa Calobra, visiting the most interesting places along the Tramontana such as Sa Costera, Cala Tuent and Es Torrent de Pareis while enjoying the breathtaking views of the cliffs rising from the sea.
By Earth... It is surprising that, just as one leaves Palma, between Establiments and Puigpunyent, a particularly attractive and sylvan area of more than 300 hectares exists where one can enjoy the world of horses. Son Gual Riding Club has various arenas designed for dressage and jumping, 60 stables equipped with the most modern maintenance services, and a social centre with restaurant, cafeteria, and a swimming pool. To these one must add the extensive land that allows excursions of up to four hours via paths through the woods.
If you have never had the opportunity of riding a horse, or do not dare to try it without help, the entire team of professionals is at your disposal to initiate you in this fine sport.
If, on the other hand, you wish to perfect your expertise in the areas of dressage and jumping, you will find true experts who will teach you all you wish to learn.
By Air... The heliport of Son Bonet it is situated just a 35 minute drive from La Residencia. From there you can make exclusive itineraries chosen for you as well as excursions which permit you to appreciate the beauty of our island: marvellous old towns, the wild beauty of Sierra de Tramuntana, coves, and bays.
The journey “Valldemossa” offers you the opportunity to discover the Sierra de Tramuntana within 25 min. Just after take off, we head north crossing the spectacular Port of Sóller. We continue the coastline south-eastwards where we find the lovely cove of Deià and just after Na Foradada. Then we turn south flying down to Valldemossa. The tour ends in Palma, where you are greeted by a striking view of the spectacular Bellver Castle with Palma laid out at its feet, as well as the port and the majestic Gothic cathedral.
