Built in 1912, The Palace Hotel is located in a privileged area of Madrid, in front of the Prado Museum and between the Thyssen Museum and the Parliament. The hotel has been host to princes, prime ministers, presidents and discerning travelers from all over the world. Following careful historical research, the Palace Hotel was completely restored in 1997 and now rivals the finest classic European hotels.

465 guest rooms & suites which include interactive TV with video on demand system, accessible power points for computer and portable phones, electronic door locks, individualized air-conditioning system, electronic safe, state-of-the-art telephone with dataport and voice mail system. In addition, 14 of our rooms are designated "Westin Guest Offices" - specially designed for business executives and equipped with a fax/copier/printer machine, digital speaker phones with integral modem jack, working desk and a wide range of business essentials.

Deluxe Rooms

A marble entry foyer leads into our Deluxe Rooms, which feature elegant wall coverings and molded plaster accents. There are marble floors throughout as well as a spacious desk, cocktail table, armchair and reading lamp. The original mahogany wardrobes have been restored and adapted to accommodate a TV and other modern conveniences. Available with a queen or two twin beds. (312 square feet)

Premium Deluxe Room

Recently renovated in the classic Palace Hotel style, these spacious rooms have been fully updated and equipped with all the conveniences you expect and are available with a queen or two twin beds. Special attention has been paid to soundproofing, with the addition of a special entrance door, double glazed exterior windows and heavily lined curtains. The décor reflects the Belle Époque style, with silver fabric wall coverings and subdued gray carpet. (312 square feet)

Junior Suite

Many of our 30 Junior Suites feature a marble entry hall and modern conveniences. Equipped with a king, queen, or two-twin Heavenly Beds®, the suites offer separate lounges and bedrooms. Sliding doors allow you to keep the living area private from the bedroom. Plaster accents and elegant wall coverings showcase the ambiance of our historic hotel. A sofa and armchair with a reading lamp invite you to relax and soak up the rich atmosphere.

Spacious and elegantly appointed, our 17 Executive Suites are sized for an extended stay. The lounge features a large sofa, armchair, reading lamp and coffee table along with a large desk equipped with a comfortable chair and a fax machine/copier/printer. Bedrooms are furnished with a king, queen or two twin beds, desk and chair and television. Some rooms also have a dining area with seating for six. (904 square feet)

Royal Suite

Our largest accommodation, the Royal Suite, is located on the top floor overlooking the Plaza Neptuno and its fountain. Elegant and comfortable, the suite includes two full bedrooms with individual dressing rooms and bathrooms. The master bath boasts a sauna and Jacuzzi, and there is a powder room for guests as well. The large lounge features a conversation grouping with sofa, table and plush chairs. A separate dining room seats eight and the library is equipped with a fax machine/photocopier/printer and television. (2,961 square feet)

The Palace sets the table with two delightful restaurants, the refined Asia Gallery, considered Madrid’s best Asian restaurant, and the informal La Rotonda, which features a grand buffet. The Palace Bar is perfect for cocktails, an aperitif before dinner or a cup of coffee.

El Bar del Palace

Madrid’s favorite venue, The Bar has a classic style and welcoming atmosphere that make it the perfect spot to enjoy some of the most famous cocktails in the city, prepared by the famed “Palace” Barmen.

La Rotonda

Named for the stained glass dome that is the hotel’s visual signature, La Rotonda is renowned for its grand lunch buffet, featuring such delicacies as pickled quail salad and grilled sea bass. The Sunday Brunch is considered the best in town.
