Departs: All year but best from June – October DAYS 1 & 2 Arusha, Tanzania Welcome to Africa! Your flight arrives in Arusha, Tanzania. On arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Sitting on a hilltop with lush gardens, the lodge offers breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. All cottages have large private verandas with mountain views, fireplaces, and four-poster beds with mosquito nets. There are large bathrooms with separate shower and tub. On the morning of August 11th you will go on your tour of Arusha National Park inclusive of private driver guide, picnic lunch, park fees, and return transfers back to your lodge. Kigongoni Lodge Includes: Bed & Breakfast DAYS 3 & 4 Tarangire National Park, Tanzania This morning after breakfast your guide will collect you from your hotel. You will begin your safari with a scenic drive to and through Tarangire National Park. You wills top along the way at a lovely viewpoint for a picnic lunch and arrive at camp late int he afternoon. On a ridge overlooking Tarangire National Park, seasonal home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, Kikoti Safari Camp is a haven fit for the most discerning traveler. Kikoti Safari Camp Includes: All meals & safari activities DAYS 5 & 6 Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania After early morning game activities you continue your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. En route you have a picnic lunch at Lake Manyara NP. You then transfer to Serena Lodge. Often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best known wildlife arenas. The Serena Ngorongoro Crater Safari Lodge is perched on the jagged rim of the crater, wreathed in morning mist, camouflaged in river stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge Includes: All meals DAYS 7 & 8 Lake Naivasha, Kenya Today after a filling breakfast, your guide will drive you back towards Arusha to Lake Manyara Airstrip. You have a scheduled flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport via Arusha. On arrival in Kenya your driver will meet you in the Baggage Claims area. You have a very scenic 2-3 hour drive up the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Naivasha where you stay at Kiangazi House. This is a delightful country house overlooking Oloidien Bay and part of Lake Naivasha. Kiangazi House Includes: All meals, local drinks, laundry & activities DAYS 9 11 Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya Today you transfer to Naivasha Airstrip to meet your regional flight to the Masai Mara. When you land, your guide will be waiting to transfer you to Rekero Camp. Rekero Camp is situated in the midst of the Mara Serengeti eco-system; home not only to the Beaton Family but also to the greatest concentration and diversity of wildlife in the world. The Rekero experience is so special because of the interaction and mix of cultures that the guides and the local Maasai share so readily with their guests. Rekero Camp Includes: All meals, local drinks, & safari activities DAY 12 Depart After two weeks in Africa, it is time to shake out all the bush dust, pack up your camera gear, and make ready for your journey home. You have a regional flight back to Nairobi Wilson Airport. On arrival you transfer to Nairobi International Airport to meet your international connection home.
