Stroll the lovely parks and gardens of Palermo; the charming quarters of San Telmo, birthplace of the tango; the bustling banking and business center; the working-class barrio of La Boca, home to the renowned Boca Juniors soccer team; and Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place of Eva Perón. This afternoon, learn basic tango steps before attending a dinner and tango show at a renowned Buenos Aires venue. The falls are one of the most impressive sights in the world, with a breathtaking 275 cascades that spread across a gulf of nearly two miles. They are located in the lush Iguassu National Park, a sprawling forest home to rare wildlife such as macaws, toucans, monkeys and crocodiles. Lodge in the only hotel in the park, a short walk from the mighty cataracts. Walk above the falls through paths surrounded by tropical flora, butterflies and exotic birds. Venture onto a catwalk that extends 3,600 feet over Devil’s Throat, a roiling cataract that marks the border between Argentina and Brazil. Llao Llao Hotel & Resort | Meals: B Day 6: Bariloche | Snow-Peaked Wonderland This morning, explore Bariloche and view some of the most attractive scenery in Argentina, a panoply of lush hills, snow-topped peaks and lakes reflecting a crisp blue sky. Visit the Llao Llao Peninsula, Lopez Bay and the Cerro Campanario chairlift, affording incredible views of the valley below. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Llao Llao Hotel & Resort | Meals: B Day 7: Bariloche | Leisure and Activities You are at leisure today to try a round of golf at Patagonia’s best 18-hole course, or explore the pastoral surroundings with your choice of activities, including mountain biking, trekking, kayaking, rafting, fishing or horseback riding. Llao Llao Hotel & Resort | Meals: B Day 8: El Calafate | Patagonian Vistas Spend a relaxing morning at the hotel before departing to the airport to board a flight to El Calafate, gateway to the majestic world of glaciers. El Calafate is a rustic, charming town with well-kept gardens and pretty homes set before a stunning Patagonian backdrop. Los Sauces (Gold) or Alto Calafate Hotel Patagónico (Silver) | Meals: B Day 9: El Calafate | Walking on a Glacier Enjoy a full day at Perito Moreno Glacier, considered by many to be the most beautiful in the world. Your day includes trekking over this colossal sheet of ice with your expert guide. Later, sail close to the glacier in the hopes of seeing a calving. Los Sauces (Gold) or Alto Calafate Hotel Patagónico (Silver) | Meals: B L Day 10: El Calafate | Depart Buenos Aires After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Buenos Aires and depart.
