Eichardt’s, a 140 year old Queenstown icon provides fine accommodation in five luxurious hotel suites in its historic building situated on a premium lakefront position at the heart of Queenstown’s café and restaurant precinct, with some of the finest international shopping labels an easy stroll away. The hotel reflects contemporary provincial elegance, its modern features in perfect harmony with the distinctive antiques and luxurious furnishings of this New Zealand icon.
The hotel suites all feature a super-king bed, fireplace and mini-bar, a dressing room and bathroom with generous bath and double vanity, separate shower, heated mirror and floor. Each one is fully entertainment and business integrated with personal audiovisual systems, along with email and internet access. The Hotel’s Parlour offers guests the ideal setting for lingering over breakfast, with awe inspiring views over Lake Wakatipu and the comforting crackle of an open log fire, complimented by overstuffed chairs and sofas against a backdrop of exquisite antiques and objets d’art.

Eichardt’s Lakefront Cottage, just a few paces away from the main hotel offers stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and nearby mountain ranges. The Cottage has been designed to blend with the historic character of the waterfront, home to Queenstown’s oldest original building and a Victorian bathhouse. The Lakefront Cottage comprises two two-bedroom suites and two double suites offering visitorsflexible and luxurious accommodation, each with stunning lake and mountain views. The interior design was masterminded by world renowned New Zealander Virginia Fisher.
The cottage is perfect for groups, families, and longer staying guests. The split-level suites are interconnected and can be opened to become a large single accommodation space, or sectioned off for smaller groups.
Each suite is spacious and airy, illuminated with natural light, and upper floor roofs have sunny skylights with electric shutters. A compact and well-equipped kitchen with microwave and hob enables relaxing ‘at home’ dining or entertainment. Majestic vistas over the lake and mountains and luxuriously-appointed amenities give the Lakefront Cottage all the comfort and style of a home-away-from-home while guests enjoy full use of all Eichardt’s Hotel facilities, including concierge services, literally just a few steps away.
Completing the Eichardt’s collection is The Residence; a fully self contained villa property with three bedrooms over three levels just a few minutes walk from themain hotel building. Beautifully appointed, The Residence is a home away from home. Fully serviced by the hotel with housekeeping and concierge assistance makes a family getaway something special. The Residence enjoys glorious views over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range.

Here, cocktails are created by top New Zealand bartenders who incorporate years of experience and passion into every drink. Eichardt’s attentive House Bar team is always ready to serve with a welcoming smile, good humour and utterly professional and knowledgeable manner.
Eichardt’s signature lunch dishes, tapas and breakfast menus feature fresh and organic produce sourced from the very best local growers. Eichardt’s chefs have built a loyal following for consistent delicious and always inspiring dishes. The House Bar oozes the warmth, comfort and style of this beautiful old hotel with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Its sumptuous setting will make any occasion feel that little bit more special.
The House Bar is open to the public daily from 7.30am to midnight.
Eichardt’s Parlour is an opulent private dining and lounge area where guests may unwind after a day travelling or sightseeing, enjoying a cocktail or grazing on tapas. A complimentary Whiskey Bar is available for guests to help themselves to a single malt Scotch, Brandy or Bourbon.
